kpop: Forgive me if this is not correct but am I the only one who finds it ironic that the JW .borg is made up of mostly minorities (20% white, 40% black and African, 10% Asian, 30% Latino) but is headed by a group of old white men? Jehovah has such a sense of humor!
But it is effective. In a country like Africa, it is a selling point. The religion becomes this all powerful collection of white gods who live really far away. It adds to their authority.
And the Glorious Ones pat themselves on the back for being the Perfect Paternal Protector. The charitable colonial corporate model in action.

dozy: Interesting to see "Fat Boy" Sanderson at the head of the table of the writing committee. Is he the chairman this service year ( unusual for the most junior of the GB members to hold such a prominent position? ) Or does he just need a bit more room to spread himself?
*snicker*
What happened to High School Dropout Jackson? The Translator Supreme One?
Maybe The Glorious Ones are a little concerned with their glorious image after Jackson's oh so public/humiliating appearance in Australia?

And just think of the money making opportunities that the glorious ones have provided to the flock by offering these tours of Jehovah's sacred throne! What a loving provision in these last days
http://www.jwalktours.com.au/index.html (just one of many)
JWalk Tours organises group travel for Jehovah’s Witnesses. This idea is for fellow believers to have a chance to travel with, and meet brothers and sisters from different countries, cultures and backgrounds.
Our main focus is Bible Land Tours, particularly Jordan and Israel. Besides the Bible Lands, we also put together a different tour every year. These tours are a once off but Bible Land Tours run regularly.
We will also be organising tours of the new headquarters in Warwick, as well as Wallkill and Patterson, in the near future.

fisherman, you are being a weasel.
I never said anything about these having to be criminal cases and neither did you.
The WT has settled numerous civil cases. Stay on track, buddy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boizyklif4q.
Fisherman: Can you cite one case filed against the WT in the US where wt was found guilty of violating a mandatory child abuse reporting........
Hahaha!
Of course those are difficult to find. The Watchtower settles all of them before the court can make a judgement on the case!
How many did they settle a few years back? 17 cases or something like that, wasn't it? And all with gag orders attached.
Let's make a list of all the cases that the WT has settled before judgement. Now that would be informative and pertinent to this discussion.
new letter today (please visit avoidjw.org for a copy of the official letter and yes, i also noticed they got the date wrong!).
february 28, 2017. to all bodies of elders.

fisherman: I do not have any authority to determine one way or the other
Why not? By whose authority?
Why can you not make a determination using your own brain?
Who said anything at all about outside authority?
Do you not have your own authority to make a decision?
Do you not own your own brain? Who owns your brain?
Who is your authority? Yourself? Or someone/something else?

RO: I am not sure if he meant that Bloodless surgery is when the person has no blood which is what he said or is it that it leads to the person having no blood. I am not sure. that is why I asked him to clarify that statement.
It was pretty simple.
Go back and read it again.
*hint...it isn't what Simon says

No.
I didn't say that. You did.
Of course, though, when a patient has had their blood drained (ANH) and replaced with a volume expander, they would naturally be considered "anemic"
Once their body was "bloodless", I suppose anemic would be a correct term to use
