  That is somewhat helpful, Dsp. But, the link you provided is a link to stories about Norway's tax return. In spite of the government grants that the org receives being revealed, it still doesn't list the big contributors - the ones who could and do influence org activities. And the information that the Norwegian branch sent Germany over 300 million during those years still doesn't reveal where that money actually was spent. Putting $$$ in another country's bank does not quailify for knowing how the money was used.

  It appears like the link gives a reader a summary of that information but it does not give details.

  The tax return that has never been revealed, and likely never will be, is the BIG one - the American one.

  SAHS: .... if the medical profession ends up having to kowtow to the parochial mandates of extreme fundamentalist cults such as the Watch Tower, then all the efficacy of the accumulated scientific knowledge goes right out the window.
  But in our modern enlightened and civilized society, such purely superstitious behaviour – as apparently interpreted by certain self-serving pseudo-religious outfits – really has no place, and should be discarded along with all other such relics of pre-homo-sapient society.

  I would like to see all aspects of the organization's tax returns made transparent and readily available to anyone. Completely transparent down to the last penny. So that regular tax payers know exactly what it is they are funding by giving the organization tax breaks. Books wide open.

  Including a donor list of all donations over a certain amount. So that the members themselves, and those of the public, can be aware of who has the most influence over the organization and also be aware of exactly where their donations go. And exactly what the tax breaks cover.

  Transparency. No more secrets.

  It reminds me of Akira Komoto's work.

  i know about the gold apple watch, but that is only a small percentage of the billions that they have.

  so who do you think is keeping all of this money.

  I think that the WTS operates on an "outsourcing" model. Directed by the the donors who "insource" donations

  Who benefits?

  Well, back in the day, the paper manufacturing industry did. Look for JWs who are attached to that industry and you will find $$$ going into their pockets.

  The bloodless industry benefits from the ever changing blood doctrine. Look for the many, many JWs attached to that industry.

  i promised my daughter i would come to sunday afternoon so she wouldnt have to ride home with her mother.... holy crap it was weird!

  Generally, credits are given for a specific reason. Receiving support in the way of grant money usually has a caveat that requires credit being given on the final production. Just getting city approval for filming location usually does not have that caveat attached to it. But receiving financial support almost always does (*edit to add - maybe the city just waived the usual fees required to offset the location shoots).

  A lot of films have location credits at the end

  Yeah. No big news there

  The credits are one of the most important features when watching productions. They reveal the source and the bias along with all sorts of other interesting information at times. Just watching a film without paying attention to its production process is a bit superficial, I think. It's only value is entertainment if the viewer doesn't absorb more than just the eye candy.

  That may be but it still doesn't account for the standard practice of the film industry to list that information as a location credit. The credits presented at the end, in the fashion it was, without designating that it was a location credit, generally indicates financial support.

  To credit "the City of White Plains" is specific - it credits the city, not the kingdom hall property.

  Morpheus: for those that havnt yet seen the drama yet... watch the wife of lot part 3. It will blow your mind

  Well...I skimmed it. I didn't want to be exposed to those damned butterflies!

  The ending was dramatic and done well enough to scare the bejehovah out of any kid watching. That scene (the salt transformation) will be the nightmare material for the 21st C JW kids. We had kids and bikes and dogs falling into cracks in the ground. This generation will be terrified of turning to salt.

  Did you notice the credits at the end? Credit was given to the "City of White Plains, New York". Huh. The WTS must have received another one of those big grants. I wonder how much those grants are worth now*? In 2004, the WTS got a quarter million dollars as a grant from the city of New York. Maybe these horrific propaganda productions are being funded with taxpayers' money.

  *I found it - in 2016 the WTS got $100,000 from the city of New York in grant money. Not sure how much they received from the City of White Plains to produce these videos

  i just learned that my wife's congregations will soon be disbanded.

  her congregation will disappear (cahuenga spanish in north hollywood in southern california).

  all the members will be added to other neighboring congregations.
