  check his signature... it looks kind of childish/feminine (at least in my part of the world)... is this a grown man's signature for you?.

  viva la vida: I think you can see a bit of how the person really is by his/her handwriting style. In this particular case it seams childish to me... and this person is ruling over 8 million people.

  Graphology (handwriting analysis) is a controversial area and the main criticism is that it lacks validity.

  However, I couldn't resist and I just had to find out why Jackson made his "O" like he did. The pen movement is odd. So...I did some reading...

  And this is what it said about an "O" made in that way:

  Circles within circle letters on the right hand side. The larger the inner loop is, the more secrets this person will withhold from others. If the inner loop is huge, this person will try to avoid giving you a complete answer.

  What I see when I look at Jackson's signature, is a person who has had little education. His signature is childish and odd for an adult man.

  His signature is probably the only thing that he picks up a pen for - he probably does very little, if any, actual long hand writing. Making letters in the way that he did for his signature would be slow and tedious for any length of writing. I guess that is why he has "helpers"...the guys who do the writing for him and...you know, for turning pages and pouring water.

  2) A registered charity can work with an intermediary who is not a qualified donee as long as it has “direction and control” over

  Jose Luis Aguilera was arrested at his home Friday on suspicion of molesting four girls he met through a Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness Church in Santa Ana, where their families worship, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

  The girls are 9 to 12 years old, and the alleged sexual assaults began in the spring of 2014, when the suspect lived in Tustin, Bertagna said.

  The most recent alleged sexual assault happened in July, Bertagna said.

  Police learned of the allegations after one of the girls told her family about the incidents, Bertagna said.

  People in Saskatchewan react to Syrian refugee crisis

  Syrian-Canadian in Regina says stability in Syria is key

  People in Saskatchewan are following the Syrian refugee crisis closely.

  The Mennonite Central Committee is one group that helps to bring refugees to Canada and Syria has become one of its main priorities.

  "I think it's vital," Elaine Harder, the group's refugee program coordinator, said. "It's who we are as people. We're caring for each other. We want to help someone in a situation that's vulnerable."

  Noor Mitri, a Regina restaurateur originally from Syria, still has relatives in the war torn country.

  Mitri says the solution to the crisis is to make Syria a safe place.

  "The country is not in a good place at all," Mitri said. "People have no jobs. They can't even send their kids to school with safety. These are the issues we need to look at."

  Mitri said his relatives live in constant danger.

  "I think the best problem for the refugee problem is really stabilizing Syria again," he said. "Finding out the factors that are currently destabilizing the country and restabilizing it all over again."

  People who have experienced turmoil in the homeland have deep understanding of the refugee crisis.
  Trevor Kakunze, a student, emigrated to Canada from Burundi. While he was not a refugee, he left the country while it was in the middle of a civil war and encountered many displaced people living in camps.
  "No choice is better than another one," Kakunze said of the limited options facing refugees. "People decide to move and go away. Some people decide to stay and wait and see what happens. It's not like a yes or no."
  The federal government has set a target to bring to Canada more than 11,000 Syrian refugees. So far, around 2,000 have been successfully processed.

  The WTS almost always reacts to 1.)money 2.) politics 3.) money 4.) law 5.) money.

  I find it odd that the letter is specifically asking for names. I can see the weird and wacky notions that are connected to data collection - the WTS has always been obssessed with numbers. But, to ask for the names is rather creepy.

  Could the WTs be trying to distance themselves from people that they don't want to be held accountable for? As in..."Oh, we don't have to pay compensation out for their actions...they aren't even a Jehovah's Witness. See? We have proof. That guy? He ain't one of us!"

  Icelanders offer up homes to Syrian refugees

  When the Icelandic government announced it would accept 50 refugees, its citizens rallied, using a Facebook event page to volunteer their homes and pressure the government to grant more refugees asylum.
  On Sunday, award-winning author Bryndis Bjorgvinsdottir set up the page Syria is Calling. The group aims to present Iceland's welfare minister Eygló Harðardóttir a list of volunteers willing to house Syrian refugees.

  More than 16,000 people had joined the page as of Thursday afternoon, though not all of them are Icelandic.
  Icelandic volunteers, supporters from other countries and many who purport to be Syrians attempting to find their way to Iceland have all posted to the page. Bjorgvinsdottir has offered to pay for the flights of five Syrians and house them with a friend.
  On Monday, Eyglo Arnarsdottir heard about the Facebook group on the news. She was unimpressed with the number of refugees the government said it would accept, so the next day she signed up to volunteer with the Red Cross.
  "It's one of the biggest human crises we've seen in my lifetime at least," said the 35-year-old journalist in Reykjavik. She's waiting to hear from the Red Cross about how she can assist, though she says she could help teach them Icelandic and guide them around her city.
  "I think it's an obligation all of us have to help in any way. With my effort, if I could help one person or one family, it would be worth it."

  The Icelandic Red Cross has praised the Facebook group.
  "It is without a doubt due to this support on social media that on Tuesday, almost 100 volunteers showed up at Red Cross headquarters to complete their registration as active volunteers, ready to provide assistance," the organization wrote on Facebook Tuesday.
  Perhaps inspired by Icelandic efforts, a few Canadians have taken to the page to offer refugees a place to live.
  "I will pay for flights for three. I can and will support them till they support themselves," wrote Michelle Blanchard, who added that she lives in Edmonton with rooms to spare.

  Faye: interesting that it's Poland. They've been free to worship there only since The early 90's.

  Maybe the WTS is being required to produce an accurate count of their members for legal purposes. The same thing seems to be happening in Ecuador.

  millie: Did you happen to see a post by OrphanCrow somewhere on a thread that this phrase was first uttered by the Pope in a speech he gave just recently (2014)?

  Yeah...methinks that Monica has been taking her "internship" position seriously. She slipped in her testimony on the stand at one point and said "we" will have to "look at that policy". I think she acts in a consultant capacity of some sort.

  The WTS has obviously had the support of the Catholic Church - after all, the "mother" has had lots of practice in trying to defend their child abuse policies.

  I showed a friend of mine (never a JW) these two photos and she is convinced that these two popes are clones!

  I am struck by how your use of line conveys so much emotion - the downward lines pull your 'earthly' elements into the ground, and the heaviness grounds them...yet at the same time, the expansiveness of the air around the figures gives hope....

  Beautiful images. Much appreciated. Art has the power to speak when words cannot be found.

  i don't know if they're making similar arrangements in other parts of the world but below you will find the letter (and the translation attempt) they're sending to all the congregations in mexico and central america asking them to modify their september 21 and september 28 service meeting programs.. after watching jackson's gold apple watch and lett's pinky ring one can only assume they are a bunch of brazen, shameless and greedy bastards!.

  the letter has already been uploaded at the spanish forum and you can find it if you click here or see the attached picture.. the translation "attempt" is as follows:.

  august 1, 2015. to all congregations.

  sir82: Sure there's lots of JWs there, but they typically don't have gobs of cash sitting around.

  Yeah, that's why they are asking for "valubaubles"...just in case someone has a few pieces of old family heirlooms sittting around that they aren't gonna need in paradise.

  "Honor Jehovah with your valuable things."

  Humph, for some reason that verse brings to mind old illustrations in the WT literature that showed people laying jewels and babies on the false god altar.
