cappytan: Feminazi...
Sigh. And there we go again.
Someone just HAD to invoke Godwin's Law, didn't they? That sure didn't take long.

Gentledawn: Yeah, because calling someone out for their bigotry is wrong. In fact, let's flip it over to the person who actually called em out on it - theapostatenon-conformist, who doesn't buy the explainerating, bullsh!tting, or 'oops, I was talking numbers, not qualifications'.
Lol! Would that be me?
I called out the poster simply because they are so wrong - on many points of their ill informed statement about women on construction sites.
If there is one thing about women who "work with the boys", it is this: those women are at least as qualitifed as the men, sometimes even more so. You won't find an unqualified woman on a construction site. And, I will tell you this - there are LOTS of unqualified men on construction sites. I know because I have had to babysit them - I have had to supervise more than one "boy" who didn't know how to hold a hammer.
I am a woman. and I have worked on construction sites for many years, off and on, and I have women friends who are certified, qualified, and who run male crews on construction sites.
Don't dis women who work construction.
do you remember the wt lawyer trying to get justice mcclelland to accept a new and improved report from the wt "expert", monica applewhite?.
the wt lawyer even managed to squeeze more time from the commission for applewhite to prepare her report.
funny thing is, applewhite never submitted that report.. i guess she has been too busy with catholic business...no time for the wt dudes.
millie: As our resident forensic detective, what are you finding? Nothing?
Lol! Nope, Millie...nada from here.
News of Applewhite is quiet online. The only place I have ran into recent postings about her is on a Catholic forum discussing her poor representation at the Royal Commission. The Catholics thought her credibilty sucked and were concerned how that would impact on the work she does for the Catholic Church.
I wouldn't doubt that Applewhite will lay low...she should after her poor testimony at the Commission.

Heaven: I doubt the ARC will let her off.
Actually, Heaven, I think that it was the WT lawyer who convinced the Commission to let her re-submit more information. Justice McClelland was not convinced that Applewhite had anything more to offer but the WT lizard wanted to add more "expert" opinion. McClelland gave them two weeks to submit another report and Applewhite didn't make the deadline.
if a thread has been made about this i apologize.. if anyone has not seen the latest hbo documentary release, "going clear: scientology and the prison of belief" i cannot recommend highly enough that you watch it.
as the majority of us here are either survivors of or still trapped in a cult ourselves, this documentary will most certainly intrigue you.
it's the most in-depth and extensively researched documentary on scientology ever and features interviews with ex-scientologists who were right at the top until they fell foul of their megalomaniacal, paranoid chairman of the board, david miscavige.. i have read some of l. ron hubbard's books out of curiosity and outright dismissed them as utter nonsense.
I haven't had the opportunity to watch Going Clear yet. It is on my list of "to watch".
But, I did watch The Master not long ago. It is a movie that is somewhat based on L. Ron Hubbard and the start of Scientology. I had a difficult time watching it through all at once - it took me three sittings. I found the movie to be quite disturbing.

i found this picture and i just can't believe it?

never a jw: C'mon. Ralph's supermarket employees use the same shirt, the security guards of many companies use the same uniform, the personnel in many museum uses a uniform, etc. There's plenty of NON-CULTS who required their personnel to dress in a certain way for some reasonable , even practical purpose.
You are absolutely right. And you forgot sports' teams and Girl Guides and Boy Scouts and school uniforms and armies...but, can you name a religion that dresses in a uniform? Well...other than the Catholic nuns. And Catholic priests/monks. Buddhist monks. Hare Krishna.

Listener- There is no insult it's highly unlikely that a great number of them would be qualified unless the org went on a special recruitment drive specifically for females.
Your conclusion does not follow your premise.

Listener: I am a female and don't mean to suggest anything offensive about females. More and more females are becoming involved in building work these days but males still far outstrip them in numbers.
Yeah..but you didn't say numbers, you said quailifed. Big difference.
And it doesn't matter if you are female, you still can't get away with that insult.

Listener: Under one of the photo's is a comment that states females make up 35% of the workers. Thats got to mean a lot of unqualified workers.
Yeah. You are right.
Take the females out of the work force, and you have 65% of those volunteers who have questionable qualifications.
