Care Home Exclusively for JW's "Inadequate" and "Unsafe".

That is a damning report.
It is evident that the JW elderly are given the same treatment as children - don't report issues to the proper authorites and ignore everything except the Bible studies and meetings. And the poor residents - saying that everything is great just because they get to pray before each meal.
What a shit show. A total ignorance and disregard for regulatory measures by the management and staff with the only proper attention given to the residents' "spritual health" and no regards given to their physical and emotional health.
I wonder if there had been family members who had laid complaints which prompted this inspection or if this was just a regular inspection.
A very disturbing report.

The old Paradise book published in 1958 had a baby Jesus in the manger scene.
At least...I seem to remember that...

suggestions for a bird lover
by sowhatnow ini want to know id anyone has an inexpensive easy way for me to install some sort of sound system so i can hear the outside birds in my house in winter.
i have to doors closed its like 30 degrees outside, i stepped out to toss some bread crumbs and heard so many birds outside, and i would love to hear those birds in my kitchen while i eat.
would a cheap baby monitor work ?

Sowhatnow, you need to get yourself a little budgie. Or a lovebird.
I confess to being a bit of a bird nut myself and I miss my birds. My lovebird died a few years ago after a long and healthy life. He lived 17 years. I sure miss that little nut. He would sleep inside the hood of my hoodie when I was on the computer. Or try to peck at my keys while I was typing.
I also had many wild bird friends when I lived up in the north country. I would spend hours and hours just watching the wild birds that would visit my balcony - one day I counted 14 different species that visited. And I took photos of all of them.
Damn...this apartment living isn't any good for feeding birds. Some days, I pull up all the photos I took of my old bird friends and just look at them. Or I go for a walk so I can talk to the crows. And I leave my window open so I can hear the Canada geese every evening - hundreds fly overhead every day just as the sun is setting.
Yeah...I am sort of in love with birds. Of all kinds.

Macys, I see that you have made your decision already.
But, I would like to just point out one thing.
You had said: "I would like to have children when I am finished with school and I can not imagine my grand kids asking why they can not see their own grandmother. I can not allow that to happen. So I am planning now to go back and get reinstated so my grand kids can know their grandparents."
You are not dealing with the present. You are living in some fantastical future when you MAY have children. Maybe. It sounds like you are sacrificing your integrity, honesty, and your identity for some event that might happen in the future.
IMO...your priority should be in establishing your personal strength and integrity so that you can be a strong role model for those imagined future children. And the thing you are leaving out of your equation is the imagined future paternal grandparents of those imagined children. Your future children will not be without grandparents - they will have the grandparents on their father's side.
You have gone back to your family of origin, but I think it is a mistake to place the burden of that decision on your imagined future children. They are only a twinkle in your eye and you are already making them the ones responsible for your decision. It doesn't sound hardly fair to them.
I am not criticizing your decision to return to your family, I just don't think it is fair to attribute that decision to children who aren't even born yet.
Good luck, Macys. I hope it all turns out well for you. And I also wish the very best father and paternal grandparents for your future children.

35 Years Ago Today - John Lennon - Peace Advocate was Murdered
by flipper inin this age of violence with the san bernardino and france massacres sometimes it's good to reflect on the wise words of the peace advocates among us who proposed a better solution in bringing a more civil society to our universe.
john lennon, martin luther king jr. - people who stood up for equal rights and world peace and denounced violence and war - no matter how that violence occurs.
please feel free to comment on stories of john lennon on this thread and feel free to post any you tubes of his music that you may have enjoyed through the years.
