TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".
by Dunedain inok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

Video Showing Where in the World Jehovah's Witnesses Have been Active, 1926-2016
by ILoveTTATT2 inafter many, many days of learning how to write macros in excel and cleaning up a lot of data, i finally have the desired result: a timeline of where jehovah's witnesses have been active since 1926.there are some notes:1) "korea" was assumed to be both north and south korea up until 1950.
(i chose 1950 because that is the same year russia and other communist countries went "banned").2) morocco and western sahara are considered as one.3) in the years previous to 1947, i had to read the yearbook reports and make an educated guess as to whether i should include in the report or not.
my requirements were: not banned, report was for an entire year if there was more than one witness in the land, reports were official and not second hand.

Essentially it includes places where there was a full report for the year and places where the witnesses had legal presence
Yes. That is a critical distinction.
This video is valuable in that it highlights how the WTS has had (or not) political positioning across the world. As much as the org presents itself as a "religion", its political presence has significance

That is an interesting video, ILoveTTATT.
I noticed that Canada disappeared from the active status during the war years when the JWs were under ban. That big red country became invisible for a few years. The same thing happens with several other countries - there are African countries that appear and then disappear.
It appears like this map reflects where the JWs were legally able to have a presence, rather than where they were actually "active". This map reflects the political presence of JWs around the world, not necessarily their active status per se.

ARC Analysis Summary of Case Files
by Richard Oliver ini have been doing research on the arc as some people on here have suggested.
i find it interesting on the case file analysis some of the findings.
it looks like queensland and new south wales had the biggest problems with this.

RO: ...how the ARC staff broke down those numbers into different categories. Obviously, the ARC staff felt that the person's status was important in determining culpability of the organization in these terrible acts
Don't be stupid.
The ARC staff is presenting us with how the WTS broke down those numbers. The ARC staff are only working with what was given to them!!!
Ask yourself why the WTS broke the numbers down that way and kept them on record

Beardless Jesus. Why?

the question is why?.

You are right, David_Jay, the Cold War culture in America produced images of smooth, clean American men.
The masculine ideal in advertising images of that era was slick and smooth:

The 1958 Jesus in the Paradise book was Asian - he probably was Chinese. No chest hair on them...

Vidiot:
cha ching - "...the WT has not paid one cent of the $4,000 a day yet."
Not even the slightest bit surprised at this point.
Hell, at the rate the tab's adding up, the amount's gonna overshoot the size of regular guilty-penalties or settlements before too long.I am not at all surprised either.
The $4000 a day fine is so tiny as to be almost non-existent when taken in perspective. No wonder the WTS isn't paying - it is a really, really cheap way to avoid complying with the court order
$4000 a day for one year comes to $1,460,000
The 2017 Yearbook reported the average publisher number for 2016 as 8,132,358.
If each publisher gave the WTS $0.25 during the year - just once - if each publisher donated just a quarter- that would come to $2,033,089. More than enough to cover the fine for a full year on a single donation of only 25 cents with lots left over
No wonder the WTS wants the kids' ice cream money. It would only take all the little JW kids doing that once during the year to more than cover the fine that the WTS isn't paying
The fine is a joke. It is peanuts

jwfacts: I cannot think of a single doctrine that is so clearly laid out in the Bible that every Christian sect teaches the same point. Are there any doctrine where there is total consensus amongst all Christian religions, including Jehovah's Witnesses?
I can.
This one is so easy.
God is male.
That is the one unchanging doctrine that is consistent in ALL Christian religions. Try changing that one and the whole f***ing mess comes crashing down
