It appears like Mr. Asaf Guliyev is "no longer a Jehovah's Witness".
His name has been taken "out of the book".
That is some fine editing by the WT writing staff.
what is happening in kazakhstan?
that country that occupies a space between russia and china?.
kazakhstan is a landlocked country in central asia that shares borders with russia, china, kyrgyzstan, uzbekistan, and turkmenistan, and also adjoins a large part of the caspian sea.. kazakhstan is 70% muslim.

some things of note here, it looks to me that they're encouraging young ones to befriend older people and "people not like them".
could this be because many of the young ones are now leaving?.
That is weird. Really weird.
Encouraging children to "make friends" with adults? WTF is that?
Adults are preferred friends for children? Children should be encouraged to socialize with age appropriate friends. Telling children to seek out adults to make friends with is just so wrong on so many levels.
No wonder the JWs have a problem understanding what child abuse even is when they are told to encourage the kind of behavior that puts a child at risk.

The org has a 'different' way of reporting things, doesn't it?
"Inciting ethnic, social, religious, family and racial hatred in collusion with a group of other persons" becomes, in org reporting: merely for sharing his religious beliefs with others.
And then the org says:
" He is the first of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kazakhstan to be criminally convicted for his religious activity since the nation’s independence in 1991."
That is not true. From Forum 18:
Of two Jehovah's Witnesses arrested in January in Kazakhstan's capital Astana for "inciting religious hatred or discord" for talking to National Security Committee (KNB) secret police agents about their faith, one has already been punished. Asaf Guliyev was given a five-year restricted freedom sentence on 24 February. And why would the org ignore Asaf Guliyev? Well...that guy was probably not considered a JW anymore - he plead guilty to the charges. If Ahmedov was the first to be convicted, what the org is saying is - if you plead guilty....you are no longer a JW.
* to add - now I understand why Guliyev (the first JW to be convicted) didn't get a mention by the org.
From Forum 18:
On 16 March KNB secret police Major Duskaziyev opened a criminal case against two of Akhmedov's lawyers, Natalya Kononenko and Vitaly Kuznetsov (who is from Russia). He is seeking to punish them for appealing about their client's case to President Nursultan Nazarbayev and other state agencies.
The two lawyers are being investigated under Criminal Code Article 423, which punishes: "Revealing information from a pre-trial investigation by an individual warned under the law of the inadmissibility of information being revealed without the permission of the prosecutor or person undertaking the pre-trial investigation". Punishments are fines of up to 2,000 Monthly Financial Indicators, or restricted freedom or imprisonment of up to two years........................................
KNB Investigator Duskaziyev is also accusing Kuznetsov of putting pressure on Guliyev, who testified in Akhmedov's case. Kuznetsov and Akhmedov's son Parviz met Guliyev to discuss the case. Guliyev later wrote a complaint to Investigator Duskaziyev against Kuznetsov.
what is the rarest jb book ever printed?
i just bought a copy of the finished mystery and it can be a bit rare.
but i bet there are others much more rare.
I don't think a book has to necessarily be old to be rare.
I have a hard copy of the very first "Jehovah's Witnesses Alternatives to blood transfusions" 1973. Printed and compiled by "prominent" Canadian JWs and later published by the WT's Hospital Information Services. The first hospital "manual" that was used by the JW Canadian pilot group for the now named HLC.
I know....It's a book that wasn't circulated to the general public - medical professionals were targeted with that publication. Medical evangelizing done by JWs.
i'm not really sure what this charity 250 index is trying to do.
partly because i'd expect a few big household name charities to be on it at the top.
i've copied the table below - see positions 19 (up from 70) and 130 (up from 202).
shepherdless: There is a massive increase in cash coming in from 2013 to 2015, and I just don't believe there has been a massive increase in individual donations over that time.
There likely hasn't been an increase in individual donations.
If the UK reporting is anything like the Canadian tax reporting, "donations" can also include donations from New York and other branches.
If you check the line on the 2015 UK financial report, that details the foreign currency gains, the amount reported is $3,053,415. That is just from moving money around internationally. Money made from simply making a "donation" from one country to another.
The WTS has been using Germany as an "inflow"/"outflow" entity for years. In 2013, the org received money from Germany, and then in 2014, they moved money to Germany.
According to the OP, in 2014/15, they claim that the UK branch received 12 million in "grants" from Germany. But they fail to mention the money/goods that was moved back to Germany in the same period.
It is all money games. International movement of $$$

catholics are concerned about their religion being discriminated as well in russia.
pale emperor: I wonder if the GB will acknowledge the Catholic church's support?
Nah!!
Haha! just like they did when Applewhite took the stand in their defense at the ARC.
Heh. The Catholic Church probably owes the GB one after that dismal performance.

Lol!
From the article:
"Jehovah’s Witnesses do not participate politically ..."
Check out the org's broadcasting video that they did recently about the Russian ban. Note how proud Sanderson is that they had the opportunity to meet with influential and important ambassadors of important countries.
Important ambassadors no doubt included the German ambassador. After all, it was the German WTS branch that attempted, not just in this hearing but also in previous court hearings in Russia, to have standing with the court. Just one of the many motions that the Supreme Court denied. And why did the German JWs want standing? Because almost all of the JWs' literature printing for the European arena is done in Germany now. They wanted to defend the extremist charge against the literature.
Mark Sanderson et al meets with influential ambassadors from important countries.
And then what happens? Oh! Look! Merkel puts in a postscript about the JWs when she was talking to Putin. Wow! Look at that! Jehovah involved in international politics!! Wow! Wonder how that happened?

may 2, 2017. oryol, russia (bp) - russia's nationwide outlaw of jehovah's witnesses will likely ricochet and strike other religions outside of russian orthodoxy there, said a baptist missionary forced to shut down his church in central russia.. "the repression that has already started, in my opinion, it is likely to continue to get worse," donald ossewaarde told baptist press april 27th by telephone from his home in oryol.
"i don't see any sign that the russian government is having a change of heart.".
The Baptists in Russia have been bucking up against Russia's laws for a long time now.
http://www.forum18.org/archive.php?article_id=2211
Baptists have fell afoul of Russian authorities for their persistence in missionary activity and also for refusing to register their churches. The Baptists claim "freedom of conscience/religion, etc" as the basis for their refusal to register with the Russian government - "We obey God as our ruler rather than men".
Baptists are facing problems in all the countries that the JWs are - Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan...etc
i heard this on the youtube channel - bad jw round table discussions and i normally don't give much thought to rumours, i did find this one interesting.one of the guys on the channel said that there are plans that 'the other sheep' will be told not to attend any future memorials.he was asked how credible was this and he said that it is talk going around by those in the know, just like there had been those that knew about the fairly recent new edition of the bible being in production.even if this is probably just a rumour, the idea has a lot of merit.
the benefits for the organization outweigh the negatives and would fit in with their current direction.here are some of the benefits, for the org.
that could come from it- the biggest benefit would come from not having to accommodate so many attendants, which are more than double a normal meeting.
BluesBrother: No way are they going to ditch the biggest meeting of the year , the one that kick starts any Spring campaigns ... The Annual Memorial is a " must attend" for all dubs and those wavering will still come to that one.
And just think of the $$$ that the annual Memorial nets - "we don't pass a collection plate....but don't forget that we welcome donations - especially from all you who feel guilty about not attending the rest of the year".
As long as the Memorial makes money, it will be held. When it is no longer profitable, the doctrine will change. After all, that is where "divine inspiration' comes from - the org's god - $$$$$$$

jwleaks: Nathan Knorr (sitting behind desk) never claimed to be of the "anointed class" and never partook at the Lord's Evening Meal.
Do you have a source for that?
I have always thought that both Knorr and Franz were "of the anointed" and that was the reason given for shouldering Rutherford's choice, Hayden Convington, out of the top job running the WTS. Convington wasn't anointed but Knorr and Franz were. This is the first I have heard that Knorr wasn't anointed.
