Music is very important to me. I love all kinds of music, so I try to have a little of everything in my house, so no matter that guest, I might have the right background setting for them to enjoy.

The "New Personality"
by iiz2cool inwhen we were jw's we were constantly reminded to put on a "new personality".
now, before i was a jw i was friendly and easy to get along with.
it only took a few years of exposure to the cult before i noticed personality changes.

How would you prefer the JWs to think of you, A, B, or C ?
by logansrun ini ran into my df'd, trying to get back into the dubs, uncle and my jw cousin the other day.
i was coming out of a movie theatre with my "worldly" girlfriend.
after a couple pleasantries we departed and they finished cleaning the theatre's windows .

I know I have ones who think A,B and C. My mother thinks I am weak. She thinks I left because I got weak for love and sex and since I can never have a scripural freedom for a new relationship, she will ease her mind that is why I 'had to take a break'. One friend took the opposite ie. C, I am this evil immoral nasty person.
I don't think I am any of them. I'd like to think I have just been enlightened and had my blinders taken off
Actually.. I would prefer that they dont think of me at all. -

What does the word "apostate" mean to you ?
by skiz ini'm not asking for which dictionary definition you prefer, and i'm not looking for the borg's definition.
what i'm asking is what thought strikes you when you hear an xjw being called an "apostate".
that term makes me think.

In the past, I would have thought my comments in my heart and out my mouth would have made me the definition of one. But that was the defininition of a word I was brainwashed to believe it to mean. I don't think I am now. If I stopped believing in God, yes. But I haven't done that. I have just freed myself from tyranical rules of an organization I was suffocating in.
