  Did you have to dress up for meeting?

  i remember having to dress up for every meeting even the ones during the week.

  i had to wear a botton down shirt dress pants, a tie, dress shoes, dress socks and a blazer.

  this was also required by my parents to dress up when going door to door.

  I think in the warmer areas they were less needed..

  to be honest in Minnsota in winter, you WANTED something on your legs to keep them warm when the cold Lake Superior wind chills of below zero temps come whistleing through

  What are some of the pro-JW discussion boards?

  i know there are some about, but i just can't find them at the moment.

  not e-watchman: i mean like loyal witness boards.

  I don't know.. I don't think the pro jw boards were all that dangerous.. except for the occasional 'apostate' that breaks into their boards now and then, they are pretty much run like a kingdom hall.. they dont' allow dissension or bad association.. OR free thinking..

  when Obed started letting free thinking start on jwnet.com, all of the JW mods and admins jumped ship and started new boards that would not allow such 'thinking'..

  we were still sitting there inside the box..

  even when I came here looking for apostates bragging that they were infiltrating our boards, I was obedient and not looking at the 'doctrine' threads.. I looked only for threads that had the websites GreatCrowd, or WOL, or ForeverFriends.. or listed names like BigRay, Vktoria, etc.. then I knew they were about us.. but I still viewed at that time even this site with blinders on...

  i used to read the old h2o site and i believe they brought up that this place was up......either that or i typed in jws on search.

  lol I used to be on H2o for a minute when I was a witness..

  actually most know how I found this site.. I was a moderator/admin of other PRO JW sites.. we used to have those from here come to infiltrate our boards.. so of course we had to keep those nasty apostates out! so I'd come over here and look for them bragging .. so I could go back and bump them off..

  well.. for the most part no..

  although as I hear about the Scientologists.. how they seem to be very controlling (like the dubs) in their relationships.. who they allow as their friends.. I think that bothers me.. I hate anything cultish..

  as far as other religions? no.. I don't really care if someone is a Catholic.. or athiest.. or mulim..

  I probably wouldn't date an athiest or a muslim.. Christmas means too much to me.. but for friends, I don't care what they are..

  Just dont' shove religion down my throat..

  of course.. we all had to dress up..

  its funny.. I've lost a lot of weight and still had clothes I had grown out of.. I've worn a couple of dressed to work and the first think I think is when I go to put one of them on is.. oh wow.. I feel like i am getting dressed for meeting..

  I remember when the elders found out I was on the internet on these JW boards.. when that Nov KM of 99 came out, they personally came to my house and sat down and read it over with me. They were concerned for my spiritual health...
