  today, whilst shopping, i ran into an old school friend of mine that i had been quite close to.

  i used to write her 'sick' notes for her, so as you can imagine, we're friends forever now.. anyway, she tells me that she is studying with jehovah's witnesses again.

  i think she expected me to be thrilled with this news.

  this is my first chance to post here since last thursday, so here it is.

  amanda and i arrived at approximately 5:45 pm, and parked in the walmart parking lot.

  amanda bought a folding chair and something to eat, as she just got off work.. we walked across the street to the kingdom hall and stood on the shoulder of the road.

  I think that the reality lies more in the middle. The long term trends and tendancies have harmed the viability of "America" being the place to be. Part of that dynamic is that most/many Americans can't honestly and openly look at their beliefs about their own govt/society/"way of life". Most of us are patriotic little consumers--either of "goods and services" or even of "Truth"/belief.

  Change is innevitable. Empires crumble; Or adapt. The trick is to be aware of the change, even slow change, and then ride the wave.

  An Elder Told Me.... Many To Be Disfellowshipped Soon...

  an elder told me the book is jehovah's latest provision to cleanse his organization.. he said soon all people that have drifted, inactives, and others baptized and not complying with the biblical mandates for a jw, will be visited and given an option to shape up or ship out.. he said that if the person refuses the help offered by the congregation they'll be notified of the date of disfellowshipping and given time to appeal the decision.. he was so happy stating that this way jehovah's organization was preparing for the final clean-up before armageddon.

  he sounded so convincing that it almost made perfect sense what he was saying.

  Do You Believe A Person Has The Right To Die?

  I believe that ANY human being should be able to choose for themself. If you end up in a vegetative state, then hopefully you set your intentions in writing beforehand. As for someone who ends up paralyzed, again, it is their body and their choice; not my place or anyone else's to impose our will upon them.

  I do not think that the decision to end one's life should be taken lightly. I believe that we are here to overcome our troubles, and learn from the experience. I also believe that if we "opt out" early, that we just have to repeat it again.

  Is obesity a disability?

  hi all, just dropping by and throwing out a question or two.. two of our department managers are both very obese and therefore cannot do all the tasks that their positions require of them.

  as a result of that, the peak time workers, those working while the store is most busiest, end of doing a lot of the physical work they leave for us.

  it gets pretty hectic when people are trying to shop and we are getting out ladders and stocking shelves.

  If I offended anybody, I truly apologize for that. I think I am coming accross as more a$$holey than I am feeling. Or I am behaving more A$$holey than I usually do.

  I respect you Blonde, and to answer your questions, I agree with you that it is not black or white. Back to me as a teenager, I was very thin, but I would be inclined to say that Iwas, if not a glutton, at least a "something" with a developing food disorder. So, no, not all gluttons are fat; and not all large people are gluttons.

  Interesting with comparing this to the labeling that we did as JWs. "Meditate on this I will, mmmh."

  As for the person who smoked for 30 years and has emphysema. Sure, from a medical, technical standpoint, that is a dissability. But from a big picture point, I think they deserve what they ended up with. Nobody made them smoke, and they were warned about the consequences.

  we need to set up a apostate fund to help out members of this board who are in trouble!

  if michael jackson was on trial for being "wierd" he would be found guilty hands down.

  since that is not the issue, on what basis are people accusing him of being a ped?

  the prosecution has brought forth their strongest witnesses and have presented their strongest evidence.

  I agree with the nice kitty. I think MJ is weird. That he intentionally molesters little boys, no. I do wonder though, how many times will MJ have to go through this experience before he figures it out.
