Are Parents Who Shun Their Children At Risk?

who looks after the welfare of ageing witness parents who have disfellowshipped children?

are these df'd children (actually, some of these df'd children are in their 60's) meant to ignore being ignored and then care physically for their non speaking parents?

also, can df'ing your own children lead to witness parents suffering illness or even death as a result?.

a word to jehovahs witnesses: what is the basis for the authority the seven members of the governing body can claim in controlling the lives of eight million followers?

the organisation they represent has never got one useful piece of information correct in one hundred and thirty five years... so why should they be believed?.

If you have ever worked/lived closely with a Narcissist (I mean a true blue Narcissist) they are EXACTLY like the Goberning Body. They adore themselves and NO ONE else matters at all. It's all about them! Same with most of the Elders in the Congregation. The acorn (NUT) does not fall far from the tree.

New Marriage Arrangement Rumor?

so, i haven't lurked here in a long while however, i have been checking up more frequently and i saw that there is a rumor going around about getting barred from marriage if the brother not appointed by the time he is 23. is that true?

if it is, i am so screwed haha.

It's all about the outward appearance. One of the available "brothers" who had "spiritual qualifications" was one of biggest pot heads and loved his booze.

New donation arrangement in action locally

recently they announced at my hall that a large donation had been made to the local congregation-- nearly $100,000.

they then proposed a resolution that we continue our new(ish) practice of only keeping enough money on hand locally for monthly expenses, and send the entire amount of this large donation to the watchtower society.

aside from the fact that our congregation has already sent well over a half-million dollars to the wt in the last 12 months, i don't understand the motive of the person who made the donation.

snugglebunny. Sounds like a typical CO's wife. We all know someone's record card shows their true character. We have been married for 32+ years and our record cards have always sucked. I guess we should call it quits. lol

On The Art Of Fading

in october of 2000, i faded away from the watchtower.

like most people, i have family and friends who are jw's (including my wife and parents).

fading is generally the best method for people in that situation.

JW.ORG advertising on game/app review program.

i don't know if any of you have seen the video posted by mike and kim regarding jw.org advertising on a thailand computer game review television show.

the show is called game show social - i looked at a few of the videos and jw.org is on a lot of them.. at first i thought that it was a review of a jw.org app but when you look at other videos jw.org is on a lot of them as a sponsor as well as dell lg and others.. wgo..

Need Help Designing a JW Barbie Doll

when i saw englishman's post about a theme for his "barbie", i thought he meant barbie doll.

duh!!

anyway, i was thinking what a jw barbie would look like.

Pioneer Barbie's skirt is a wee bit short. Ha! I believe she is much too pretty, so this will allow all the old bitter sisters in the Hall (Elders wives) to spread malicious gossip about her being a slut. Oh...and the Elders will tell her that her top is much to tight. I've always wanted to ask the Elders, when they say things like that, how did you notice that my/her top is too tight or dress to short? Look much???
