  Switching Halls

  it's time for me and the mrs. to get the hell outta dodge.

  recently my hall has undergone major management changes and the atmosphere is..less than ideal.

  i'm getting multiple calls a week asking to set up a time to meet, i've politely declined but these guys aren't taking a hint.

  For our situation. We just faded from our hall. We figured, if we move halls the Elders will just send a letter telling the new set of Elders how weak we are. Then we have to deal with a new set is Elders. Hope it works out well for you!

  This is the new and improved Greatest Man book. They had to make it a GB 2.0 publication. This is a GB 2.0 cult now.

  I bet there is a puppet master behind the GB, i.e. a Board of Trustees. Let me guess...they are all wealthy. I think we know a few. The secret little society.

  Bro Loesch's talk.

  recently i heard through video link to our kh a talk by bro loesch where he attacked university study (again) but this time he prefaced his remarks by saying, and i quote, "the faithful slave does not forbid you to go to university.

  " so this was a bad start as his following remarks made it clear that this was just a way of seeming reasonable while basically saying that we shouldn't do it.

  he went on to use an illustration i think he has used before about a man with ocd who decided to kill himself.

  He mentions pursuing things on this side of armageddon. If that is the case why are they building a new headquarters? Why not be content with where you are now? After all the end is closer now than ever. How about all of the Brothers and Sisters you sent off to college to defend you in court? How about all the Brothers and Sisters you are "USING" at Bethel? You know the doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, builders, plumbers, electricians? The ones YOU are benefiting from. The ones who are working FREE for YOU!

  i see an attitude among some people here which is not very helpful.

  i can understand it, but still, it's not constructive or helpful.. if you condemn the society for not changing, but then you also condemn them when they do change in a positive way, what incentive or motive does that provide for the people at the society to ever want to change for the better?.

  also, what does that attitude look like to current witnesses who are having doubts?.

  There are A LOT of hurt, deeply wounded and rightfully bitter people on this site thank you to their religion shamelessly letting them down. These were once hopeful followers. Tons of good people on here with many heartbreaking stories.

  Do not judge until you walk in someone else's shoes.
