Are the J.W's reaching a "Tipping point"?
by karter ini haven't been to a meeting in 15 years but my mother and sister are hard as j.w's.
the brothers they are appointing elders are at best suspect like one guy from my old hall made elder, big time drug used before becoming a j.w his talks are all over the place and would have struggled to make m,s years ago but with at least 60 to 70 % of young ones leaving the pool to pick from is at best reduced.. 2 other recent elders both young and zero life experience both on benefits one not well at all falls asleep all the time.. the decent, kind elders mostly older and are decent people with alot of life experience are burning out fast as there are so few of them left like 3 per congro of 100 publishers.. then you have the rich elders who wouldn't ever think of inviting some poor older or mis-fit person out to the expensive placers they go to as they couldn't afford to go so they are above the r&f and the r&f get pissed off with them.
then we have the ones who have "put the kingdom 1st" who are now old worn out and barely getting by from welfare cheque to welfare cheque that are saying "the system should have been over many years ago" it's still here and they are struggling everyday.. then there are the pioneers who have a low payed reduced hour job that seem to think anyone who has anything is totally materialistic and looks down on anyone getting a new car buying a house ect.. along with the child abuse issues, the generation change, access to information the the g.b don't want anyone to know ,not to mention the issues around blood.. is there a tipping point coming????

Yes, they are at a tipping point. When there are more jerks in charge than there are good men, it will take a toll. Look at all of the new posters on here. By their actions and lack of love (GB included) they are running more people out than are coming in. I hope it is at a tipping point. They have done it to themselves! -

If they go bankrupt, so what?
by maksutov init seems likely that the watchtower is worried about its finances, given the downsizing, property schemes, and money-grabs we have been seeing over the last few years.
perhaps they suffered badly from the financial crisis.
for sure, there will be more expenses to come from child abuse payouts.

The JW cult is going no where. It will remain, more than likely, smaller in size. I agree with what someone else posted earlier, their doctrines will be exposed more on the internet and you will see no growth. Any hope of survival will on the backs of the born ins but I am sure some will decide to jump ship there too.
As frustrating as this is, I always remind myself that they will NEVER receive another cent or 1 second of my time ever again.

I never realized how boring I was.
by John Aquila inas a true believer in the watchtower, i never knew how truly boring i was until being out for a couple of years and then sitting down with a group of jws and having a conversation..
thats what happened this morning.
i decided to go have breakfast at mcdonalds and a group of jws who were out in service and know me also stopped for breakfast and sat down with me and we talked for about an hour.

"When they are getting old, and are broke, sick, burying their spouse, they'll see that something is indeed wrong. No Panda Petting Paradise for them."
I agree with what Doc posted earlier. We have family members (still in) that are experiencing the above. Some have actually said they know the new system will not be here in their lifetime. Sad!

Sure the JW's had to post something positive! With all the bad PR lately (ARC), they had better do some proactive.
Funny how they NEVER posted anything regarding the Australian Royal Commission on JW.Borg! Hmmm!

Today's Special Day Assembly Expenses and the $10,499 Deficit. Silent Majority?
by Tenacious intoday i attended a one-day assembly in my hometown.
i knew when it came time to read the afternoon expenses that it would be an incredibly high and ridiculous amount that was nowhere near the real expenses for that day.
sure enough, after lunch came the announcement.

Great news! Lack of funds, lack of Baptismal candidates and crappy attendance. Good news indeedy!
KEEP VOTING WITH YOU WALLETS, IT'S STARTING TO "PAY OFF!" These bas***ds want to verbally and emotionally abuse everyone? This is the BEST way to get revenge. Hit em in the wallet! Money defines the WT!
I believe the onion is being peeled away (one layer at a time) and starting to stink!

We have not attended in 3 years so we don't really know. My 2 cents is people are only staying in due to family relations and the socializing in the org. The best revenge for so many is hitting the WT in the pocketbook. We think all the money grabbing and begging (May broadcast) is starting to backfire. Oh yeah! -

Bottom line...there is nothing special about the Jehovah"s Witnesses anymore. They aren't even Jehovah"s Witnesses anymore...just JW's (JW.org). These people seem to be into "selfies" ("look at me, look at me!") and as someone called it "spiritual competition." We were born into this religion and it seemed in the 80's we were all in this together. You know...the small town feel or the Mom & Pop shop (the good ole days). I don't know anymore, maybe we were just in cult mode. I just don't know! It seemed special back then. Now...it just seems like any other religion. Follow the money. Sad but true! Just no substance anymore. What the hell happened?
The 80's? This is when the Ray Franz thing happened. Has it been crap all along or has the Internet blown it wide open? Give me your feedback everyone...I can't figure it out.
