Was there any news about Bethel Layoffs at the AGM?

Doc- we just heard from our family. They told us about the letter and the changes for the mid week meetings. I asked if they mentioned any reductions at the bethel homes. They said no. They were very surprised that the WT and AWake's are being cut back again.

WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links

so my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.

also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

So many lost their jobs and homes during the real estate debacle. We watched good, hard working people have to suffer. The WT should have been smart enough to figure out that the bad economy was going to affect their donations.

When we were struggling, during our difficult time, we were told to trust in Jehovah and rely on him. I guess WT will now have to take their own advise. It's always more painful when the shoe is on the other foot (their foot). Sorry...we got NO sympathy and I will give them NONE.

First thoughts on "new" meeting...

had a quick look at the workbook and flicked through the sample meeting video.. the increased use of video shows the trend for more centralised dissemination of "best practice" .

sure there isn't really a "school" any more and the format is a bit different but i think those that called it as the same old crap just in new package got it pretty much right.

It seems to me. More opportunity for Sisters to have a share, just in case a congregation is lacking Brothers. The demo video was different using shadow figures instead of real actors. Still looks like the same boring crap...just changed up a little to feel new!

well when they first started the warwitch project, only the cream of the crop were allowed to go.

they read a letter this week in my area, inviting all brothers in good standing, to go to a special meeting for anyone with building experience.

they must be desperate, to allow the low life plain everyday sheeple's to volunteer!.

Imagine that...Watchtower wanting to "use" you to bring your free labor and skills to benefit THEM! There greed is more apparent than ever but brain dead drones will keep on showing up.
