dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.
we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.
Oh wow...we had a experience VERY similar to yours. The texts we received were like we were wanted in all 50 states. Lol
We gave them NOTHING. They deserve NOTHING! We are in control...not them. No response drives these control freaks crazy! We are reverse shunning and it feels, oh so right.
Keep up the good work Jack. If these policemen had a life (like making money), they wouldn't have time for you or anyone else. Enjoy the "game".....we are.

My thoughts...wouldn't the money be better spent helping out an individual/family that may be in need (food, clothing and shelter). That will never happen in JW world.
hi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.
as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.
that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.

i always enjoyed being kind.
when someone genuinely needed a hand or what not, it felt good to help family or friends.. i don't really miss them anymore.
i faded over two years ago, so they long ago shunned me.i think about them less and less and have even forgotten some names.i did enjoy some of the friendships and the association.
It's truly amazing how quickly these ones will turn on you. It's an eye opener for sure.
We have been shown kindness from neighbors, non JW friends and business aquaintances. We will give these people kindness in return. They are the ones who are doing the acts of kindness unconditionally.
If you don't want to be in the good ole boys club anymore, you're gonna have to pay. What ever happened to winning a mate (this could apply to anyone) over without a word. In other words, be loving (take the high road). Be kind, it may bring this "weak one" back to Jah. Bottom line...this is a cruel cult with zero holy spirit.
we all remember, one of the main reasons for removing the bookstudy was the high gas prices, well, have you looked at the gas prices today?
nationwide, the lowest is about $1.65, the highest is about $2.67.
isn't that right about the same gas prices as when they cancelled the bookstudy in the first place?
The letter as stated that they did not want to cause further burden to the brothers and sisters.
