Fade update...
by StarTrekAngel ini have attended only one meeting in the past 3 weeks.
i know there is no way to leave this cult fast enough, but is my fade too fast?
-

You can never fade too fast. You will eventually be on someones radar. Like Billy said, it all depends on the problems the elders are dealing with or they will only call on you when the CO makes his rounds or the memorial is coming up. -

I just wanted to add to my spouses comment above (we share the account).
Tenacious pretty much said what I would have also written. You have to let these people know that their questions are getting a bit much. Don't be afraid to respectfully tell these ones that you just don't feel comfortable with the multiple questions (especially the questions on your private life). We had a couple in our hall that would dig for information. It's amazing when you put boundaries on these ones, they don't quite know what to do, but as Tenacious said above let these ones know that you are not a push over just because you are studying. If they know you will give up info and are an easy target for gossip, they will run with it. Don't be afraid to start your sentences out, "with all due respect, I am starting to feel uncomfortable with all the intrusive questions. Please respect my privacy and stop it." What are they going to say? It may embarrass them but who cares, they don't have any issue with asking you a million and one questions.

One way to stop a person from asking too many questions. Once they ask you a question. Ask them a few uncomfortable questions. Such as, how much Money do you make each year? How much alcohol do you drink at one time? How many hours do you average each month in field service ? Hopefully, they will get the point. Or just tell them you would rather not discuss certain subjects. -

They should just make a video titled, "Don't enjoy your life." That's all this cult does is discourage anything that makes you happy...no kids...no college...no dating...don't buy a home...don't have a good job...don't better yourself...don't...don't...don't!
Glad to be free and enjoying life with NO judgement!

"It basically tells us all 3 of our leaders Rutherford Franz and Knorr were pushy insensitive bully bastards."
Nothing new and nothing has changed. They are all bullies. The majority of the Co's and Elders are bullies. They learned from THE BEST. The brothers who have some compassion are fewer and fewer. It is sad!
One of the MANY reasons we are GONE FOR GOOD! LACK OF LOVE IS FRONT AND CENTER!

Branch in Rome is organizing a Pioneer School for Bethelites next year.
by Anakin inaccording to the italian website: proclamatori consapevoli (a independent website from jw's, proposing new reforms to the gb ), a trusted member, told that next year in 2016, the bethel in rome, will organize a pioneer school, for bethelites, who are asked to leave bethel, so that they could be equipped for their new assignments as regular pioneers in territory, they will be assigned.. .
if you choose, for the pioneer service, when asked to leave, then they are asked to assist at that pioneer school... personal note: i would make a good smile, and tell them on a diplomatic way like they did, with the bethelites they dumped), that i have other plans at this point of my life, and then leave, without regrets...

In order to keep a "title". Initially many of them will except the pioneer assignments. Over time the reality and necessity to earn money will hit them. They will have to find employment in order to make ends meet. Unless they are financially subsidized (place to live, job provided by a JW, etc...) by friends and family. They will have to reduce their time pioneering or quit all together. As time passes, the congregation will forget that they were Bethelites. -

Thrown out to the wolves!

So sorry to hear you have been hurt. It's tough being kicked to the curb. I had it done by one of my closest family members. It sucks.
You have received some great advise on here. It's an eye opening experience to realize there is NO holy spirit and these guys just want power over you. It's a Mother may I game, getting reinstated. We had a family member DF'd for 2 years and she practically had to grovel to get reinstated.
Keep reading COC and learning what is behind the ugly curtain. This has been a great site for me. I don't feel all alone and it reassures me that I am not the only one feeling the way I do.
Keep us posted.
