We don't attend anymore BUT the cart music video was a kicker! If we were still in and present when that was being shown, you would have had to peel us off the floor, we would be laughing out loud. That one was beyond words.

the words, music, singing are so, so bad....i mean, so bad!.
surely witnesses are not so stupid that they don't harbor secret feelings of awkwardness when they see these?.

Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?
by innerpeace inhi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?
i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.
the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

Exactly! You think they care but then you realize it is time for the ole CO visit. You are just a check box on a list of "to do's" before the CO visit. Yeah...that's genuine! What a bunch of as* kissers.

"back in the day people didn't know not to abuse kids"- a jw explanation for their abuse scandal
by purrpurr ina few weeks back i showed the guardian article about the borg refusing to cooperate with the charity commission into child abuse to a fellow jw.
their response was quite amazing.
they told me that in the 50s-80s people didn't know about child abuse, didn't know it was wrong and no one really believed children when they claimed they had been abused - even worldly people.. they said that alot of the time children lie about being abused or therapists plant false memories in their heads and that apostates lie about being abused to undermine our faith.. about the borg not cooperating with the commission they said that it was probably because they wanted to protect the identities of jw's who had been abused.

Back in the day they also said "no blood transfusions....none. NOW, you can take blood fractions (where's the scripture?). Years ago the said, "no organ transplants." Now they are saying we didn't know we were supposed to stay away from kids? You have to ask yourself, how many lives have been affected or lives have ended due to WT's changing doctrine? How many lives over the years were cut short that could have been saved? How many people's lives have been cut short (suicide) or ruined because of WT policy on child abuse? WT's nonchalant attitude will come back to bite them? It will be a pleasure to watch WT and the GB squirm when they have to answer for their "policies."

WT Study - 28th Aug 2016 - “Do Not Let the Faults of Others Stumble You”
by Nicholaus Kopernicus inin paragraph 2 of this study, the gbojw evidences once again that they are sticking to the absurd 1914 doctrine – “when the last days of the present system began...”.
i noted that as 2014 approached, the gbojw became somewhat reticent about making reference to revelation 12:12 – the “short period of time” scripture.
so this study is the first one in a long time in which both the 1914 doctrine and revelation 12:12 are mentioned in the same study.

We have seen this before but it was well worth watching again. The hard part is watching the damage done to innocent children and the long term affects of child molestation.
The arrogance of the 2 elders was incredible. Not one word of sympathy for the victims.
We believe there is a sh&t storm coming for WT. I hope we are around to see it.

Child abuse has been hidden for years within WT. Let's hope Karma will bit them in the a@s soon.

I have heard and seen so many of these stories about denial with the JW's. I have also seen some complain later on about some unjust outcome of an issue. The change.....it happened to THEM. It's funny how they change their tune when the shoe is on the other foot.

A Hard Lesson Learned
by Disassociated Lady 2 indo you remember that my dad passed away last year and i was going back to the witnesses after 26 years?
i got reinstated after going there for 9 months.
in the 5 months since then i felt the men in the congregation didn't want me there.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Unfortunately, if they will do it to you once, they will do it to you again. I actually think some of these guys look forward to being judge and jury. It is a sick cult.
