Circuit ASSembly low-lites

so in an effort to relieve some pressure here are what i term the low-lites of yesterday's assembly that i had to endure for the sake of family still in and my progressing fade.

apologies in advance for being pretty long winded.. these may not all be the actual words used, but the ones i use are close, and they pretty well say what was said from the platform.. right off the bat in the opening prayer the praises of the governing body were spoken.

"meet at another KH 20 miles away"

Just wait until they have to drive that 20 miles 2 or more times a week. The time and money it costs to get there may change their minds. It all sounds good on paper, until you have to do it. They will see their congregation shrink even more. More will request the dial up number. Once WT gets ones used to dialing in then they will spring the meetings being streamed via video. They are setting this whole thing up and the little ole gullible elderly ones will gobble it up.

My Brother Called Me Yesterday...

my brother isn't a witness but he was raised one like we all were.

after 15 years living his own life he decided about a year ago to have a bible study.

this being the case, as a non baptized witness he can still speak to me but he's getting a lot of pressure not to from elders and the rest of my family.

Loved it! You nailed him! JW's always remind me of they saying..."gulping down the camel and straining out the knat." Why didn't the Elders show him the REAL video? Are they not proud of their work? ha ha

"im not as enthusiastic about the religion as i was when i started studying." Why didn't he attend the convention?

I don't think YOU will have to do a thing. This statement above says a lot. Leave it at that and see what happens.

what sick fu... writing this article thought the the average person did this to keep kids quiet..

Midweek meeting video

did anybody see the service meeting video this week?.

australian sister was sexually abused as a child and thought of ending her life at 14 years old, sometime later jw's call on her father who accepts a study and eventually the whole family becomes witnesses, life gets much better as the sister immerses herself in pioneering etc, she still has some dark days but prayer along with going for walks and swimming has helped her cope with bad memories of child abuse, the new system (just around the corner) will completely fix everything......... i'm dumbfounded, the hypocrisy has literally rendered me speechless......comments anybody?.

Yes...that is a sick one! This is a very disturbed group of people. Why the hell they put that in print is beyond me.

How successful are others at getting ex-dubs together?

for my first shunniversary i reached out to the local ex-dubs that i know.

i invited 11 total to join me in a little get together at a local restaurant, then back to my house to hang out.

one friend asked if he could invite others, and i encouraged him, and all, to do so.

I think you hit the nail on the head on that one. I know my trust does not go as far as it used to. I am working on that. Maybe a lot of the ex JW community have trust issues as well.

dubstepped...you and your wife sound like fantastic people. Maybe one day when our life and responsibilities slow down, we can meet some of the wonderful people in the community.

Have you seen the video of Splane directing the orchestra? What a nut job he is! Thinks so much of himself! Legends in their own minds. I wonder when the GB will "be gone, in the twinkling of an eye?" Me thinks they will be in the Cayman islands! :)

Hey...WT opened my eyes about masterbation in the original Youth Book.

WT is constantly talking about sex. Constantly! For such a "clean organization" they sure do dwell on sex a lot.

This statement above is sick. I would be pissed if one of my small children asked me what an orgasm is. What a sick cult.

They are setting up Kingdom Halls being sold. In the business world, companies do not sell assets if they are thriving. Hmmm!

We have 2 mega churches withing 5 miles of our home that are adding massive additions on to keep up with the growth. So much for Babylon the great falling.

The shunning has started and... I like it!

so not having turned in a time-slip in a loooooooong time and making fewer and fewer meetings, and from time to time attending a local church service... the majority of local dubs are overtly shunning me.

there are those who i talk to and who visit our home from time to time, but this last meeting i went to hardly anyone made eye contact, when i greeted folks passing by me, they ignored me.

it actually felt good.. i was surprised at my reaction.

Let em shun away! Just make sure when you bump into any of the JW's you have a big ole smile on your face! Let em see how happy you really are.
