Interesting Thing My Little Girl Said Today

my 3yo daughter lives with me 4 days and with her mum 3 days.

i have her tues, wed, fri evening and saturday all day.

which means my ex takes her to sunday and thursday meetings but she doesn't go door knocking on saturday because she's with me.. i dont mind - at the moment - because in a way i want her to know the jw jargon so we can talk about it without having to explain what it is, and i want her to compare the bullshit to the real world.

Eventually she will come to her own conclusions. If her Mom doesn't attend much, more than likely your daughter will be deemed "from a weak family." My kids were from a "weak family." Our kids saw right through it. This generation of kids has the internet and they are using it. Right now she is at the age where everything is fun and she is looking at things through a childs eyes. I told my kids (they are older) if they ever wanted to return to WT, I would request one thing from them...a research paper on WT. These teenagers are smart and can see through the BS. This generation doesn't like judgement or lots of micro managing rules. It's different than when we were kids.

She sounds like a smart kid and I hated field circus when I was a kid. Hated it as an adult too. Let's be honest...everyone hates field circus. lol

By the way...I am so glad we were from a weak family. It got us out!! Best thing that ever happened. Thank you WT for being a bunch of ass*oles. It made the decision so much easier!

More boring baby stuff and wife's first birthday

hello just giving a quick baby update again.

we went for another growth scan yesterday which marks 26 weeks, 4 days and the genetics dr. felt that we needed to head to hospital for labor and delivery.

so as of now the wife is being monitored and the hope is she can stay until delivery which hopefully will be a few weeks.

Great post ! Thank you for putting it out there. I love these 2, they do a great job.

So many younger ones don't remember this time period or were not born yet. We were young at the time but our families admit that WT really did build this up. There are talks at assemblies to prove it. Mike and Kim recently put those out there on their You tube.

I've Just Noticed Something About The "Remember The Wife Of Lot" Video

maybe you guys got on to this right away, but i've just noticed something about the remember the wife of lot video.. we all know the scene where the judgmental jw dad gives that disapproving look to the girl who has lesbian parents:.

this look actually appears again throughout the video - but on other jws.

in the scene where the new brother is out in service with the former co. look at the new brothers reaction to when a "worldly" person knows the former co from work:.

I found it funny that each scene in field service, the householder knew the JW. Ok....you live in a large city. What are the odds you run into someone at the door who knows you. Just goes to show how unrealistic the JW's are.

for example, i once had a sister tell me i was gambling because i liked playing skill crane (the machine where you have to try to pick up prizes like stuffed animals) at the arcade.

i then fired back a her: "you saw the r-rated movie 'backdraft.

I was "given advise" from an Elders wife (a real...woof), about how I should dress. I gave her some of MY advise. Let's just say she never "advised" me again. Lol

I Give Up!

im giving up guys.

i've reached the end of my patience and now i finally refuse to waste any more time on part-time witnesses.

i've text all of my active jw family members and told them to delete my number from their phone and never contact me again.

I feel your pain and am sorry that happened. My spouse and I have given up on trying to assist our in JW family out of the cult. Some do very minimum activity in WT, so we just keep our conversations on family issues and if anything is brought up, we change the subject.

It sounds like your family got a hold of him and trash talked you. Even if your family knows nothing, they will make up something. It's the JW way. I have a close friend that is studying with the JW's. I am just kind and keep off the subject of the witnesses. I figure, if he stays in, it will just be a matter of time before he is disappointed and offended by something. Let em enjoy his cult for now. I have a feeling he'll be back one day.

What woke you up?

for me, i think it was just the right time as i was starting to wake up on other fronts as well (anyone who had went through these will know what i mean).

but it started when i was looking for what info goes on a publisher card, which led to me reading one person's story (ex bethelite) which was pretty crazy to an all-in jw but who trusts those apostates...?.

then i started watching videos on cults, as if my subconscious was trying to tell my concord mind something... when i saw a particular one about a young man in lds getting ready to start their 2 year preaching campaign, including a school, social activities etc, i realized that i couldn't tell the difference between the folks of this mormon cult and the jws (save for some religious differences) .

The total lack of love and blatant hypocrisy. We had a CO that was unusally cruel. The years of how the Elders were abusive in their speech and actions. I just couldn't do it anymore. I didn't see the love for the congregation. It just wasn't there.

Then I learned about Beth Sarim. My spouse started reading Crisis of Conscience out loud to me. We started learning TTATT. What an eye opener. Once you learn TTATT, you can NEVER unsee it. NEVER! We made our exit and feel so much better. Why is that? I was told I/we would be miserable! I guess it was like we were told there was love among the brothers and sisters. They tell you these things and yet they are untrue. So much happier being free of the judgement and hypocrisy! Don't knock it til ya try it. lol

7 years ago i was this "ultra spiritual elder".

you name it, i was visible all over the region.

i was the coordinator, on the convention committee, rbc, had a talk at every convention and assembly, regular pioneer, etc.

I never understood why Elders had to step down if the kid makes a boo boo. I equate it to taking a parents drivers license away from the parent when the kid has a DUI. It makes NO/Zero sense. Like most WT crap, it make no sense. You weren't even home when your son fornicated. We have watched the favortism as well over the years. It's all about who you know and how much money you have.

I don't know how ones who are PIMO do it. I know so many who are stuck due to family in. It has to be draining! I really feel for you. I hope you can escape soon, it sounds like it is taking a toll. Hang in there!

New Here

hi everyone, this is my first post .. it takes a little bit of courage to do it, i have to admit and even thought i have been lurking for some time as time goes by it gets more and more difficult to keep attending meetings and just been around the friends in the congregation.

ever since i learned about the arc something inside of me just broke and it feels pretty hollow, now i pay attention to every single form of manipulation in every direction, what difference it makes with the catholic church or with any other religions ?

i wonder why the publishers are under obligation to report about their lives and decisions to the elders but they don´t keep informed the congregation about what´s going on legally other than russia.

Welcome. The ARC has woken many up. It's interesting that WT NEVER mentions it, I agree. They swept what they do not want others to find out about. We have mentioned it to most of our in JW family. It's interesting, they are clueless.
