We are doing well. No more WT! Yay! Working hard to try and make up for years of not setting ourselves up for retirement. Kids are getting educated and we a preparing them...to fly! They are on their way! Life is good. Our names weren't in the obituaries this morning, so I guess all is good. Lol

trying not to type swearwords as i write this so bare with me.. my little 3yo attends meetings with her jw mum (who doesn't believe watchtower anymore but is stuck in because she relies on her family for help).
my mum (the one who tells people im dead) had a party for her grandchildren.
that's my 4 nieces and 1 nephew aged from 3yo-11yo.
I was bullied in the congregation as a teenager. It was tough. I lost a lot people who I thought were my "friends." The experience was miserable but it did teach me to be a stronger person, not to trust so easily and that no one will always stick up for you. I have learned to fight my own battles. It's a bittersweet experience. I survived and am a stronger person because of it.
during the "do you love me more than these" watchtower study on sunday, i got so angry on many occasions, hearing people make comments like "if you enjoy your job, you're an enemy of jehovah" and "the only reason we're here is to preach.
work and relaxation only exist to help us to preach".. the paragraph talking about the "do more!
" attitude in the world getting people down really got me down just reading it, as it applies so much to the borg.. i also found the ecclesiastes scripture quoted to be ironic, as the rest of the article tells is that nothing is better or more of a priority than to preach;.
"Working is a sin in the JW religion."
My spouse and I are noticing that our still in relatives are all looking for others to "foot their bills." Instead of working more or getting extra jobs, they are looking for hand outs to survive. Is this a pattern or is it just our family?

The JW's are a sick bunch. I hope your ex can soon make her exit as well. I'm sorry they had that happen, it hurts so much. This is how this cult rolls and I think karma is biting them.

i cant believe what i'm hearing... actually, nothing surprises be about this cult anymore.. didn't they say to the judge in the arc that they dont discourage college?.
Yeah WT is great at demonizing education BUT they sure love to "use" the brothers and sisters education to their benefit...i.e. Nurses, doctors,lawyers, dentists, engineers, plumbers and anyone who specializes in anything that can be of benefit. It sickens me and is at the height of hypocrisy.
i would like to know why jws can't enter another church,for funerals or anything?
I must have been such a mediocre JW, I had zero problem entering a church for a wedding or funeral. They sold our Kingdom Hall to a church. I figured if they could do that, then I had no problem walking in one. You talk about hypocrisy. WT sells our hall to a church but I can't enter one to support a loved one? Really? It's amazing how it only flows one way....WATCHTOWERS WAY!!!!
regarding the recent 1975 video at the convention it hit me !.
when reasoning with people about the inspiration of the bible we used the bible writers candor ie/ there honesty when recording bible accounts about there personal mistakes .. how come the governing body despite its claims to be spirit directed are not honest about there mistakes ?.
Governing Body : the true definition of narcissists. A narcissist will NEVER admit they are wrong. They would die before they ever admitted a mistake on their part.
so i call my grandfather who has been inactive for several decades and he's at vacation in puerto rico.
the conversation is normal, we talk about how he's doing down there and how i am doing.
then he tells me that my cousin who i haven't seen in 5 years, is with him and asks if i would like to speak to him; i said yes.
