for family worship last night, our family watched remember the wife of lot movie since it will be discussed in the meeting this week.
there’s a few things i noticed that i didn’t think about last time i watched it.. first, the dad is very of course against his daughters going to college or even trying to find a good job.
yet he does accounting, which is a very good job that almost always requires a college education.

The interesting thing about Lots wife, she turned around and looked at the city burning and was turned into a pillar of salt but good old David schemed to have people murdered and did other terrible things but he was "Jehovahs friend" and was forgiven over and over again. Watchtower has and continues to loose credibility. The overlapping generations teaching is showing so many JW's that WT is moving the finish line once again. You can only cry wolf so many times. They can deny they ever touted the 1975 teaching but people remember.
The internet is destroying them. They may not go away but they are decreasing. Good news!!
there's a convention being held near my hometown, and as i was passing by i saw a father taking his young children for a walk outside.
and i wondered what would happen to those children, what they would experience at school and in their adult life.
i wondered if they would grow up repressed and anxious and fearful and full of guilt like i did, although i was not raised a witness.
The internet is killing WT. These kids are not afraid to use the internet and the younger generation is NOT afraid to leave the cult. As time goes on, WT will continue to have a bad reputation. A reputation of destroying families. Not many will want to be affiliated with that reputation. The borg will continue to show it's true colors. It may never go away but will be recognized as a dangerous cult.

i just 'phoned britain branch and asked to speak to someone in the public information department.
it looks like the days of questioning the branch over the 'phone are a thing of the past.. here is the substance of my conversation with the sister who answered the telephone:.
operator: "what sort of information, please - is it a legal question or an accounting or construction question?".
WT is being watch and scrutinized, I have a feeling they are not saying much now days. The spot light is on them and they know it.

i'm not proud of the fact that it took me over 50 years to realized what the organization really was and to finally leave it.
not proud at all, i feel pretty stupid.
however i didn't lose my children.
Don't beat yourself up. A friend of ours, who left years ago, told us that he thought he was doing the best thing for his family (by being a JW). It made a mess of his family.
I apologized to my kids for being so stupid. One responded...."it's ok, I turned out fine."
We can not undue what has been done, we just have to move forward and forgive ourselves. The important thing is, we got OUT and are free!!!
no , they have the governing body { some would say the popes of the religion }.
and you do not under any circumstance go against what they say./ .
they also have branch overseers , district overseers .circuit overseers , and elders in a congregation .. they are all up and above the rank and file of the average ordinary jehovah`s witness and they are looked upon as such by the rank and file member as equivalent to a clergy class.. oh and lets not forget the legal department that has a lot to say in how the jehovah`s witness organization responds to allegations of child sexual abuse around the world.. and when an allegation arises about child sexual abuse the w.t.
The WT has more titles than any other cult or organization.
