Never dumped a worldly friend. They have been better friends than any JW ever was. These are the people we treasure. -

why when a person is dis fellowship the elders and others act like all hope is gone and refuse help that person come back to God's Word
by ray83 ini been married to my husband for almost 9 years.

ray83...that is a very good question.
Ask yourself this...if you had a child and that child was involved in an accident (even if the child did something foolish that caused the accident) and broke a bone(s) (let's say both their legs). Once they arrived back home and required your help to heal their wounds. Would you tell that child to get out of your home until they were all better?
I'm a parent (an imperfect parent) and I would NEVER be able to turn my back on my child when they needed me the most.
Now...ask your self why would a loving and merciful God (and his visible earthy organization) turn their backs on you or anyone else in your time of need?
Actions speak louder than words.
There are some (very few) elders that TRULY care about you and your family. They will tell you that "we are the most loving organization" but when you or someone else is DF'd they will act as if you were dead. When you are going through tough times, this is when you need your friends and family the most. This is the main reason we, as a family, left. The hypocrisy is unbelievable!
Best advise...RUN LIKE HELL. Go enjoy your life and appreciate the ones in your life that TRULY love you and will stick by you through thick and thin. These people are NOT those ones. It's a tough pill to swallow but it's true. Take it from most on this site. They all have seen it too!
Once you come to the realization that these are not your "loving" brothers and sisters (even family) you will be able to move one. It is one of the most painful realizations I have had to deal with but as time goes on it is getting better. I have no more tears to shed.

You are 2 brave and courageous women. I am so sorry and sad to hear your story.
It doesn't surprise me to hear the congregation turned there back on you. Like you told your daughter, it is what they do. We are born ins and we have observed this unloving/inhumane behavior all of our lives.
It's incredible that this man turned and blew a kiss. True evil!
We will keep you both in our thoughts.

People think I'm dead...
by Garrett inhey guys and gals,.
sorry to keep harassing you with these posts.... so today, i decided i was ready to look at a text from a sister who "liked" me.
she knew about my depression and apparently she says everyone is worried about me and she wants me to respond because she's worried that i'm not "here" anymore.

I agree...send her back "I'm still here". Stop there. Tell her NOTHING else. You will have people fishing around (nosy people). We had the same thing happen. Tell them you are still around and leave it at that. It drives em nuts when they don't get the info they want. -

It's a different generation of young ones. Most could care less. The older generation gulped all of this down and this younger generation is a whole different story! They are trying to capture the little ones (Caleb and Sophia) because they know they blew it with the 20 something generation. They had better put Caleb and Sophia in a video game or something more creative. Kids need more entertainment than cut out dolls that need to be dressed for the meetings and cut outs a Bethel that you can have your photo taken with. These kids need high tech and lots of excitement. -

"I work tirelessly assisting those in the congregation to stay on an even keel. I drive 2 รณ hours to study with deaf prison inmates, people that society at large have thrown away as valueless, and I see them improving their lives to become righteous people that will hopefully escape their divine death sentence and learn to be productive people. I have given up worship in my own heart language to help the Deaf, who have only begun to have the Bible in their language since 2005; the deaf that so many, including their own families, write off as being not worth the trouble. I have seen individuals truly change their lives as a"
So humble! This guy really likes himself! He has an "I" problem. The problem we have observed with our families is that they will go to the ends of the earth for perfect strangers and don't give a rats a** about their families! They will help murders, rapists, child molesters, etc., but won't give you the time of day because you don't go to the meetings anymore. And they wonder why! Hypocrites!!!

Not Seating at the Same Place in All Meetings.
by Tempest in a Teacup ini haven't heard this one in a while but it has been on my mind lately.
maybe it's because i'm noticing that these days people at the kh are going the extra mile to vary their seating places in all meetings.. having skipped meetings for a few weeks, i'm wondering if there has been a talk/article about that recently.
that's one of the most laughable rules they made and i never felt bound by it.

One word...CONTROL!! They want exclusive control, so they make up all kinds of man made rules to see all the stupid/clueless people who they can control with fear. It works on so many! We refused to participate! Now we can sit anywhere we want, i.e. the beach, the lake, the mountains, in front of the TV, stay in bed Saturday and Sundays (so many choices). It's incredible!
