  on another thread i commented " the most wonderful thing for me about having left the organisation is giving an education to my child, encouraging him to be dedicated and committed to the person he himself wants to be".

  for me that is the best thing about being free from the organisations control.. what has been your best realisation having left the organisation?.

  Glad to be free of all the judgement and finally hang out with people who REALLY truly WANT to be with you. I found it incredibly hard to watch the blatant hypocrisy! So glad we are FREE!!

  New Britian Branch set to open Dec. 31, 2019?

  according to the august jw broadcast the new britian branch is scheduled to open by december 31, 2019 and is currently the 2nd largest construction project (assuming warwick is the largest).

  are the current facilities that spread out that a more centalized location the main reason for acquiring and developing an 85 acre site?

  also, with the end looming on the horizon, what message does that send regarding making long-term plans?

  i've been enjoying all of the discussions here for a good while now.

  i found this site as i was researching things about this religion i've been in (finally after nagging curiosity and questions) but i wanted to figure things out more before coming on here and posting.

  quick backstory:raised a jw, ms, reg pioneer, international need greater work.

  i have been da for 2 years, divorced, ex and my son live 6 hours away near walkill ny.. my sons first talk is coming up, in august.

  he is 7 years old.

  I'm sure your Brother would have a different view of it if he or someone he loved was molested. If it doesn't personally affect them they bury their head in the sand.

  in joe134cd's recent thread, he mentioned the myth that apparently one should be able to fade or become inactive without repercussions from the community.

  he mentioned about the 'dropping-you-like-a-hot-potato' phenomenon from social media sites, even when you've not told anybody why you're not coming any more.. i propose that it may be good to record such a phenomenon when it occurs so that this lie can be readily rebuffed.

  i'm not out yet, but when i do, i shall be only to willing to record the response on social media sites.

  Carla is 100% correct. In the long run all the negative comments and articles is what will make an impact on those contemplating becoming a JW. Also, the ones who have had doubts will also go on the internet.

  Before we started searching. We never knew all the details regarding what happened in Mexico/Malawi or knew nothing about the UN thing.

  Sometimes we post on here thinking, what good will it do? BUT on posts or comments, on this board or others, may help just ONE person not get wrapped up in the JW craziness will be worth all the time and effort!
