Local Congregation Takes Away My Dad's Phone Hook-Up (HE'S 85 YRS. OLD)
by NoMoreHustle inthis happened about 6 months ago, didn't really have an opportunity to post about it (been busy), but they still haven't given back his password for the phone hook-up.
they say that this is direction from the "branch office".
i think it's complete bs, the real reason why they are doing this is to punish me & my family because i am basically a ghost when it comes to meetings & any type of activity.

We still have a lot of contact withing the org. We are hearing tons of friends and family that have completely quit donating. Some of these people are very well off and are proud to tell you they no longer contribute. Of course, we just LOVE to hear this.
What the idiots at WTBS don't seem to understand is you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Oh well!

My 67 Year Old Elder Brother Is Depressed Because The Younger Elders Are Taking Over
by minimus inhe was the school overseer but they relieved him of that to allow younger elders the privilege of the job.
now he is depressed and actually shed tears, believing his worth has diminished.

I have heard of this happening to a lot of the older JW's. We have heard a lot of complaints from ones we still talk to and some family members regarding these little Hitlers holding back on the dial up.
Wow...can you just feel the love!
What I can't understand is, you are still receiving the "spiritual food", even if you are dialed in. That should be the most important thing, right? No! The most important thing is CONTROL!

What woke you up?
by Israel Ricky Gonzales inin march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.
so what woke me up?
an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.
