Blindingly Obvious - But Not to J.W.'s
by The Searcher inif a fellow j.w.
asked a publisher/pioneer/missionary j.w., "how are your hours this month", they will gladly reveal how many hours they've racked up "for jehovah.".
now ask them, "how much money have you contributed to kingdom interests this month", they'd look at you as if you were beelzebub himself, and tell you that that was "personal.

This sounds suspiciously like the actions of another religion we know of...
by Captain Schmideo2 inhttp://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/09/15/church-blacklists-103-year-old-granny-then-calls-the-cops-on-her.htmlchurch blacklists 103-year-old granny, then calls the cops on her.
genora hamm biggs had been a member of the union grove baptist church for 92 yearsuntil a new pastor banished her and tried to have her arrested over a clash about the style of a sermon.. a 103-year-old georgia woman was banished from her church for a sin the pastor cant forgiveshe disagreed with how he preached.. genora hamm biggs has attended union grove baptist church in elberton since she was 11 years old.
but last month, rev.

Wow...can't ya just feel the love?
I know she wants to make a point and good for her but why would you want to return somewhere where you are not wanted?
That's why we as a family didn't return to the JW cult. We have better things to do like, enjoying family, long walks, watching a beautiful sunset and sleeping in on Saturday and Sunday. What could be better than that?

Don't just sell your home. Give the proceeds to WT and serve Jehovah (aka the Watchtower) full time. We would LOVE to "use" you!!!
All take and NO give. Typical Watchtower!

Incognito - I agree. Yes, in our area in the 80's and 90's. A unbaptized teen could handle a mic with low hours. Only wearing a shirt and tie, no jacket was required. Then things changed! You now have to meet or exceed the national avg. or in our hall over 10 hours a month. Be part of the school, answer at every meeting and be an example to the other males, "reaching out" for additional duties. It became a joke and only 3 - 5 brothers in the entire hall would "qualify" to handle a mic. It was true more of the sisters met the qualifications then the brothers. -

Did anyone see Jackson state "celebrating Christmas not a df'ing offence"?
by Crazyguy ini have seen posts on several you tube sites stating that jackson said during his rc testimony that jw's don't shun, celebrating christmas is not a disfellowshipping offence, birthdays are ok and ones doesn't have to agree with jw doctrine.
i have read most of the posts on other threads while and after his testimony but never read any of this?
did he really say these things or is someone on the net just stirring up some bs?.

I agree with William Penwell. These guys are slick with their answers. I am sure he had a flock of WT Attorney's coaching him. Slick liars!
I did like DOC's idea about sending a Christmas card! ha ha

Repentance verses Compassion.
by The Rebel ini was often told that the only disfellowshipping offence for a j.w.
is non repentance.. what then is non repentance to the w.t?.
my answer " rejecting " w.t" doctrine and rules that demand repentance.. now the truth is i do reject " w.t" doctrine and rules.

He did the "loving" thing! He shunned you, hoping that you would return to Jah! lol
Remember...it's a loving provision from Jehovah. WTF?

I'm not so sure a bigger awakening is going to happen anymore
by bradford inwhen i left in march officially i started reading the forums here.
i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.
this past saturday i had an elder stop by to chat for the first time since i left.

Check out how many Elders have their kids in college. This tells the R & F...we really don't think the end is that close. Don't get me wrong, I am all for college. It's when the Elder gets up and reads the Watchtower (the anti education Watchtower) and has his kid in college. How hypocritical can you get!!!
