Was my dad awake?!

i am wondering if my deceased elder father was awake?

once we found out he was dying, i spent every moment i could with him, we were very close.

anyway, i offered to read to him a lot when he was resting.

Yes, there is no doubt he was awake. I think there are a lot of "brothers" (elders, CO's) that are fully aware of the dirty little secrets in the org.
My Dad was also an Elder and has passed away. He also would make interesting remarks about things. I just think some people just don't know where else to go and TTATT scares the hell out of them. There whole identity is wrapped around this organization.
Cherish the good memories! He seems like he was an awesome man and Dad.

as most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.

the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.

but i miss my family so much.

NO ONE should have to loose their family because they don't believe the same things as their family.
I am sorry you feel so much pain. It is VERY painful. The issue I have with it, is how can your family turn their backs on you? They are to treat you as if you were dead. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but if my family treated me this way, I wouldn't want them back in my life. EVER! It's just not normal.
I have witnessed a person being DF'd and shunned by their family and as soon as good Ole Mom and Dad are elderly, sick and flat broke the Elders will then seek out the DF'd person for help. WTF is that all about. I'm dead to you until we need you. That is sick!

i wasn't paying much attention until i heard stephen lett will be delivering a talk.

at first i thought it would be as a recorded video, as it was in the last assembly.

well i just watched this "epic" video, i would have to say this is probably the most disturbing video yet.

there campaign to get people back is just pathetic in the most mind-manipulating way.

"welcome home" or "come back home" are they serious?

I love how they portray the "weak/lonely" JW's at the end. When you leave Jehovah, your life goes to sh*t. I wish we could do a video showing Ex JW's after they left the cult. How some REALLY feel and how their life is REALLY going. Happy people with freedom! No more abuse from a destructive cult!

wow!

i haven't been on in three years now, i pretty much got myself caught up to date and times change as always.

we moved down to florida last year and i ran into some jw's at a booth they have in a flea market here, kissimmee, 10 minutes from everything disney.

Welcome. Yes Flipper is still on here. I really enjoy his posts.
The JW's don't understand what they believe. The "light keeps getting brighter" so fast they can't keep up. lol
Even our still in family members (old timers) admit they don't understand everything. How can you? It makes NO sense but they just keep on like a bunch of robots. Sending them to the website is the only way they can answer questions. Let someone else do it.
So frustrating!
Anyway...glad to have you back. So many are waking up recently!
