I never understood field service...
by Joliette init was always boring, and i was afraid that i was gonna get attacked by a dog.
i actually almost got attacked by a rottweiler once.
i didnt get paid for it, nobody listened to us, i actually had guys make passes at me while i was out doing street corner, i was always afraid i would get grouped and raped.

Everyone hates field serve us. They only ones that "like" it are the older or more affluent ones. They ones that can't or don't have to work. It is all about the socialization.
We have 2 members of our family that pioneer. Two of the laziest people I have EVER met in my life. Trust me...if pioneering was hard, these 2 would be the last people that would sign up. They like it because they get to do two of their favorite things, sit and gossip.

Feeling rejected

however, i'm in the process of becoming one.
in fact, i'm studying with the jw's, and i'll proceed to become an unbaptized publisher as soon as i finish the first book.to make a long story short i was introduced to the truth when i was 18een.

So sorry that you are getting treated poorly. One of the main reasons our entire immediate family left this crazy cult. The lack of love is just incredible.
If you are attractive, have a good personality and are seeking to get a higher education, they will come after you with a vengence or ignore you completely. You see...they think they are better than you. This will not get better. I will be very blunt here, run like hell. I wanted to leave this cult at 14 years old and wish that I had never been born into it. There are good people within in but the majority would love to see you fail and fail miserably. I had one sister (well several) treat me the same way. Best advise...RUN!
If these are the people I will have to live with in paradise, I will enjoy my life now and take my chances. Nothing is worth getting treated like dirt.
Keep on seeking that education, take good care of yourself live a happy and successful life. That's the best revenge!

Oh, we hated when we were invited over to peoples houses and they played these "spiritual games." Our kids hated it too.
We liked the parties where there was booze and just down to earth people we could laugh with.
Just another way for JW's to show off all the "spiritual" things they know. Gag!

How Many JWs Really Believe Everything They Are Told?

the vast majority stay in because of family, friends, ignorance and a lack of caring about any of the facts regarding the "truth".
many people are lazy.

Some believe 100%. Even if they have some doubt, they do not have anywhere else to go. If they left, they would loose everything. Their whole world revolves around everything JW.
People like us can not live a lie, so we choose to leave, no matter what.

Dont Give Them More Power Than They Deserve

dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.
we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.

Oh wow...we had a experience VERY similar to yours. The texts we received were like we were wanted in all 50 states. Lol
We gave them NOTHING. They deserve NOTHING! We are in control...not them. No response drives these control freaks crazy! We are reverse shunning and it feels, oh so right.
Keep up the good work Jack. If these policemen had a life (like making money), they wouldn't have time for you or anyone else. Enjoy the "game".....we are.

My first post
by thewalker inhi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.
as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.
that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.
