" I don't know how it will affect the majority of witnesses when it doesn't come."
The same way it is affecting the long time in JW's. They are relying of prescription meds and alcohol. We see countless family members and friends taking this route. It's a bigger problem than we can imagine. We were shocked at how many people are dealing with issues this way.

Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?
by slimboyfat inrecent developments make me think they might be.
the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.
one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

My Bethel Experience Part 9
by new boy inthe worst thing, someone could call you at bethel, was a "jack.
" as in "that guy is a real jack, he doesn't work at all".
the other term not used very much anymore, was "pot licker" used basically the same way.

"Isn't that always the way it is, it’s always the more righteous ones you need to watch. Just like in the KHs."
100+% TRUE!!! Never been to Beth Hell. I guess it's NO spiritual paradise. I don't even get treated that poorly by the dreaded "worldly people."

There is some good info on Greenlees/Chitty on JW Facts. Notice when the announcement was made, it was clearly stated that when Greenlees was no longer a member of the Bethel family, the matter was closed. These 2 were shipped off (to the field) never to come up in topic again. How Convenient. I wonder how much WT paid these 2 to keep their mouths shut?

Women in this Org are looking for a Father Figure
by xjwsrock inthis is a rant mainly in response to my wife's reaction to the stupid clam meeting last night.
bear in mind, while i am not sexist, i am also not politically correct.
.... it is no secret that the women in this organization outnumber the men.

"Or maybe that's a part of why you were able to wake up - you don't need it."
Good point OneEyedJoe.

If you are fresh out, I suggest you read Ray Franz's book Crisis of Conscience. It's an eye opener. We learned quite a bit about our not so perfect organization.
Google the names, interesting info.

Elder continues serving as elder after his daughter got disfellowshipped!
by hardtobeme inthis is what is happening in a spanish congregation in our area.
this happened 3 weeks ago.
this brother conducted the school and after the school was over, another elder gave the announcement: "( name of the person) is not longer a jehovah's witness".

Yes they are strapped for "men."
We had an Elder that had his kids in college and their was a lot of "talking" going on the the hall about this. The Elders knew there was a lot of talking going on. Many in the congregation were very stumbled by him having his children in college. BUT...you see this particular Elder did MUCH in the congregation. Sometimes he would practically run the entire mid week meeting. Let's face it, the Elders don't want to have to carry the whole meeting, some just want to do the bare minimum (can you blame them). When you get an Elder that is more than willing to "do the job", you'll make concessions for him, right?

It depends on how many skeletons that Mr. Toole knows about in the WT closet. They protect the ones or hide them (Chitty/Greenlees) away that know too much! The trouble makers get the ax (Ray Franz). Just my 2 cents. -

"She wants the org to tell her what to do."
We see this exact thing in our family. The women (our experience only/family) have the personality that really don't want to put much effort into anything. If we want to them to put effort into it, we have to reason with them why to do it and even assist them in doing it. They need a lot of prodding. The JW religion works great for them, it does everything for you and tells you what to do and when to do it. No critical thinking involved. It's perfect for them.
You know the story about the little engine that said, "I think I can, I think I can." These women say, "I think I can't, I think I can't." Yikes....so frustrating!

Sounds like a real priveledge to serve at Bethel.
The morale of the story...""They really didn't give a shit about us."
