Do the GB want the JW religion to fail?
by Grey Goose inbasically what the thread title says.. do you guys think the gb want the jw religion to fail?
of course failing in the ultimate sense is just not going to happen.
no matter how bankrupt they went, there is always going to be a percentage that holds on.. but downsizing the membership?

We think they want a smaller/loyal group of people. We believe they want all the "fence sitters" gone. We were fence sitters and we are long gone. They want the most loyal of subjects. No troublemakers allowed! -

Welcome jehobi!
Thank you for sharing. You will find most on here are caring and want to help. We have all been there and experienced what you are going through.
It's sad that a family can cut you off once you leave. I can't imagine EVER cutting my family off for not believing the same way I/we do. This is how they are conditioned. I think you have to be a certain kind of person to remain in this cult.
Glad to hear you are moving on with your life. Tell us more about yourself.

Ten years out.....
by snare&racket ini'm not sure how useful this post will be, but i feel compelled to write it.
with many of my older posts, i wrote them with a younger jw version of me in mind.
with this i write it with a younger newly ex jw in mind.. ten years ago i went to my presiding overseer and told him my concerns about wt owning 'rand cam' military stocks, about unfulfilled prophecy and human error in the governing body and the theocratic consequences of such.

Disfellowshipping
by Sabin ini used to think (having been d myself, when younger) that it was a loving arrangement set up by a loving god to keep the congregation clean, & to give the unrepentant wrong doer time out to think about what they had done.
when ready they could come back, apologize & all is forgiven.
what a first class clown i was.

What a loving bunch! I can't even describe what would come out of my mouth if someone left my kids alone. What a bunch of bitches!
You're right, df'ing gives JW's the excuse to do what they do best...hate.

My meeting yesterday
by stephanie61092 inso i just wanted to jot down some thoughts and feelings about my meeting yesterday.... first, the wt, paragraph 16. i couldn't help but laugh to myself at the blatant hypocrisy.
god’s word admonishes us “to live with soundness of mind ... amid this present system of things.” (titus 2:12) having “soundness of mind,” or being sober-minded, should certainly come into play when the explanation of a diagnostic method or therapy seems strange or mysterious.
can the practitioner or the one promoting it explain satisfactorily how it works?

I would make it a habit at every meeting you attend, to chomp tic tacs and cough. Do it louder and louder at each meeting. Make sure you sit behind the little ass$@&: that said that to you. I love to rock the boat a little...it's fun! -

"stick with what we authorize and you'll be safe."
Really? That statement should tell you everything. "Listen, obey and be blessed." Be a robot!
They are very scared (as they should be). The apostates are just putting on the internet what these idiots have said and done. The GB are putting the nail in their own coffins, the apostates are just putting it out on the internet for the world to see. You'd think they would lock Anthony Morris down in the basement with a sock in his mouth. I believe he is the main reason most are running for the Exit. Keep it up Anthony, you are doing a fantastic job. We couldn't do it better ourselves.

Great post dubstepped. We agree 100%. This is a great and positive post that can give others that are just leaving, have left and are considering leaving hope. The world is not the evil place the JW's paint it as. The are good, genuine and caring people out there. So good to hear success stories from those who have escaped. Thank you -

"From what my dad said, the apartments are a retirement complex for Bethel heavies that can't be reassigned."
We have a strong feeling some of the old timers that know some dirty little secrets of Bethel are being housed there. Keep em quiet and housed until they die. Sad. This is a self serving organization.
