Remember the main goal here....$$$$$. It's easier to hit the donate button or set up an auto withdrawal on your IPad or mobile device. They couldn't give a rats a** about the older ones. They want their donations and estates set up to go to WT. They are strategically setting this up for the future. They will eventually become a video feed (TV evangelists). There will be NO need for Kingdumb Halls. No Kingdumb halls equals no donation boxes. Follow the Money!

Are there more ex-witnesses than current witnesses?
by stuckinarut2 infor years the society has said that over 40,000 a year are disfellowshipped.
add to that the 10's of thousands who simply disassociate or fade.... so by that logic, would it be correct to assume there are actually more former witnesses on the earth than the number of current active witnesses ?

Remember the come back to Jah brochure. If you leave it's YOUR fault. They never have and never will look at what they do to contribute to people hitting the Exit. Narcissists NEVER look at themselves as the problem.
Until they change their abusive behaviors, the pattern will continue. In my opinion, that is a good thing. The down side is all the damage they are doing to people and families. It's heartbreaking.

HGTV special . Small Bunker homes for JW's
by Quarterback ini've been reading so much lately about the pre message of the rc is about downsizing and living in bunkers.. are we getting ahead of ourselves?
living within your means has been a good piece of advice.
i do have a big house, but along with that i have to pay extra to heat it, extra work to clean it, more on residential taxes, worries about the volatile house market.

I think so many JW's feel the same way. They have been watching WT live the good life. GB has nice housing, food, transportation, insurance, maids, cooks, drivers, waiters, laundry, barbers, doctors and lawyers at their disposal. If I (we) want those things, we have to pay for them. In order for us to pay for them, we have to work HARD. I believe there are some really bitter still in JW's who are tired of putting their needs on the back burner (education and good paying jobs), so the GB can be "taken care of."

I agree with millie. You are gonna be fine. You sound like a really good person. Go slow even though you want to scream out everything you think and know.
Keep venting on here, it helps. So many have been right where you are now. It's tough. Hang in there. Keep us posted.

"The Bunker" WT Conventions 2016 (Gag Me)
by Poztate inin the very near future the gang will be down in a bunker, cellar awaiting the police, military to break in and take them away to camps or executions .
(paranoid much) this is the foretold "prophecy" of the governments turning on religion and saving them for last.since the couple portrayed as simplifying their life by getting rid of a lot of material things is shown to be (about) the same age in the bunker we know it must be any minute now that it will happen.
i have been out for over 35 years and things seem to be getting more bizarre each year.. when did this doctrine really become main stream?

I believe there was a recent GB members who visted those in prison (I think it was Sanderson). He mentioned that when he arrived the imprisoned Brothers were somewhat unresponsive. YOU THINK? There is prison! Oh it was a wonderful experience to all the head bobbing JW's. One difference, the GB member (along with his pinky ring and Rolex) got to return to his cushy life in New York. -

sir82, you are correct, there are some JW's in prison today. The cult has ruined and continues to ruin lives. My spouse and I are somewhat bitter, as are many on here. A very close relative of ours went to prison and we realized the full on impact this had on not only his life but his families. It is a long story and there is some real bitterness here. It hit's close to home.
We feel sorry for those lives that will be impacted for years to come.
