Reasoning on the New "1900 Years" JW Theology (from David Splane)
by FusionTheism ininspired by the three recent threads on david splane's new video declaring, among other things, that there was no faithful slave for 1900 years, and there may not have even been any genuine anointed ones during those years, i decided to make this post.. here are the three previous threads on this topic:.

Found this article in the about page on JW Org. I was a born in and was always taught Charles Taze Russell was the founder. Guess I was wrong!
The modern-day organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses began at the end of the 19th century. At that time, a small group of Bible students who lived near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States, began a systematic analysis of the Bible. They compared the doctrines taught by the churches with what the Bible really teaches. They began publishing what they learned in books, newspapers, and the journal that is now called The Watchtower—Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom.
Among that group of sincere Bible students was a man named Charles Taze Russell. While Russell took the lead in the Bible education work at that time and was the first editor of The Watchtower, he was not the founder of a new religion. The goal of Russell and the other Bible Students, as the group was then known, was to promote the teachings of Jesus Christ and to follow the practices of the first-century Christian congregation. Since Jesus is the Founder of Christianity, we view him as the founder of our organization.—Colossians 1:18-20.

Changes & Clarifications on our belief. DOMINO EFFECT blamed for late coming into print
by TheWonderofYou inin the august broadcast bro splane explains this point deeper.. when the brothers are sitting together and joyfully speaking about clarification of jw belief, they often encounter and deal with that "domino-effect" when one scripture has effects on others.
so all changes are carefully considered before they come into print, one after the other but late.. lately he mentions the "godfathers" brother jaracz , barr as good examples of reading the bible progressivly, they were very progressive at there time.
what ever this could mean he did not explain it?.

New Monthly Broadcast - BE LOYAL! - Shut Up and Sit Down!
by ttdtt inthe new broadcast is - predictably - about being loyal to the gb.it's a shut up and sit down message.. one of the funny things they keep bringing up is the correlation between the gb and moses.those who don't listen to the gb are like korah.. this is a false choice, why?let's look at a quick comparison.
(this is from the point of view of the bible).
was moses directly picked by god?- yeswas the gb directly picked by god?- well no, we actually are not told how the gb are picked and why the qualify.. did god talk to moses?- yesdoes god talk to the gb- no, they admit they are not in direct communication.. did god inspire moses to write laws and judge.- yesdoes god inspire the gb to write laws and judge.- no, they admit they are not inspired, and they are always wrong and need to change things all the time.. did god give the israelites undisputable proof that moses is his channel?- yes, many miracles visible to everyone one around happenddoes god give jws undisputable proof that the gb are his channel?- no, there is no proof, actually contrary.. was moses ever wrong?- nohas the gb ever been wrong?- every time.

I just watched the Broadcast. That is an hour and 6 minutes I will NEVER get back. I have to admit I fast forwarded it just a bit.
My spouse and I went through a few years of unemployment and financial worry. In the last video of the broad cast the couple (husband lost his job) come home to find a bag of groceries at their door. Funny thing...we never experienced that. Hmmm. In fact, only 1 elder in the entire congregation even asked us how we were doing. No words of encouragement, no offers to come over for a meal, no green handshakes and YES no bags of groceries left at our door. I guess we just didn't meet all the qualifications. I guess we weren't "exemplary" enough to be on the grocery receiving list. lol
What a crock!

Perfect Example of JW Dumbing Down
by thedepressedsoul injust take a look at this video.
i think arguing or debating scriptures is the most pointless thing ever.
everything at their meetings are so basic with no explanation.

That video just proves the only honest thing a JW has ever said...."religion is a snare and a racket."

Recent mistakes of the Governing Body contributing to the decline of JWs
by slimboyfat inthey have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.
some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.
1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.

The Zone meeting talk was an eye opener for us as well. We had already started our fade but that talk was the final straw to keep us our.
Your comment :
"I also increasingly noticed how unhappy the friends were at the Kingdom Hall. And how unhappy I was. I just kept thinking about that scripture where Jesus said come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you ... for my yoke is kindly and my load is light. I just kept thinking how that was not the case, how the burden from the Society was so heavy and how we were never good enough."
My spouse always made the exact statement you made above. NO ONE within the cult seems happy at all. Our entire family and families that are related through marriage are heavy drinkers and are all on anti depressants. So much for the "happiest people on earth".
