by longgone inthe last kh i attended, (faded) was built in 2014. there are no windows anywhere, although the front doors are glass.

it's nothing but a brown brick rectangle, as nondescript as possible as well.. any thoughts about why?.

Oh the irony! The elder, a car accident, and me....
by stuckinarut2 inoh this is just worth sharing!.
so , as many know, it has been two years since i have attended any meetings, conventions, etc....nothing...cold turkey.. the hassles and problems the elders threw our way were monumental....so many details i could share, but suffice it to say, we stood firm and kept our dignity and poise and reminded them of "appropriate boundaries ".
one elder in particular has since spared no effort in ensuring that malicious gossip and slander has been spread so that witnesses have avoided us like the plague!.

Yes, you would hope that he would see that. You did exactly as I would have done (or any other evil apostate...lol). We are the same people (caring, compassionate and loving), we just don't follow a cult anymore.

Major congregational quake in Southern California

a friend of mine told me about a huge elders meeting in southern california.
the subject was the relocation and dissolution of some congregations; it seems that this is the result of some project that has been going on for some time and is going to be implemented right now.. please let me know if this is happening all over the country?.

WT knows there is no growth. They could care less about the older ones. They have taken their literature away from them and strongly suggested they get an IPad. Most of the older ones can't or won't learn to use one. Some can not afford one. All WT cares about is lining their own pockets and now they can do whatever they want. The Kingdom Halls belong to them, they have raped each congregation of their bank accounts and are snug in their new lakeside resort.
The only true statement ever made by a member of WT is..."religion is a snare and a racket."

Do you remember 1975? I remember 1984.
by The Rebel inif i mention "1984" you will probably think of george orwell and his book " 1984".however i think of "1984" as a year in my life when watford football club reached the f.a cup final.
( the f.a cup is the biggest footballing occasion in english sport, and my club " little watford" were in it) but instead of going to watch the game, i was forced by my dad to miss attending the match and prioritize on theocratic w.t study.. so for me the year 1984 was the year i should have woken up to " the truth about the truth" sadly it took another 30 years of generation and doctrinal change before this boy became " awake" and understood his defining moment and realized he was fooled by the w.t.. anyway 1984 was a long time ago, but today in 2016, i realized 1984 had a " modern day 2016 application" that happened last saturday, when i took my boy to watch my " little " watford play "mighty "manchester united" and we won 3.1. now it's wednesday and my boy and i are still on cloud 9, even orlandos school teacher started monday lessons by saying " well done watford ".
yes little watford outplayed and beat the mighty united.

Great post! Enjoy every moment. It is sad to watch so many wait on their happiness to start in the "new system" when they could have been enjoying life all along.
We have so many family members who are now old, broke and have NOTHING to retire off of. They were "waiting" on their true happiness to start. My spouse and I never bought into that crap. We bought homes, had kids, worked hard and enjoyed life (still are). Rock on!

The churches in our area are building like crazy. Putting huge additions onto the church. Kingdom Halls? Well...not so much. They are closing them up and selling them off.

then i ask them to explain elders book page 38 paragraph 19, which say it's sometimes ok for elder who has committed immorality and has kept it secret to continue serving as elder.

This is the paragraph that really got to my husband. His reasoning..."so I can commit a sin, go to the Elders to confess my sin. I am truly repentant. The Elders decide that you don't "seem" repentant (this really happens) and they decide to DF you. NOW...an Elder commits a sin and it's ok because some time has passed. Well...the Elders little handbook says Jehovah is cool with it so let's just move along. This is bullsh*t! It's a get out of Jail card for a sinful elder. What a sick bunch of hypocrites!
