Mass JW exodus

maybe there will be a mass exodus from jws when thinking people read feb 2017 watchtower telling them the governing body stuff up, shouldnt expect correct/ perfect information and basically make up guff as they see fit.....ya reckon?.

Unfortunately, James is right on this one. There are so many people out there that just "roll over." These ones typically stay for friends and family. Enjoy that ride...I'm outta there. Life is too short to live a lie. Go enjoy what life you have left.

We are noticing our family that stays in and sees the problems with the org but choose to stay. They deal with it with anti depressants and booze. Sad!

Do you believe that Jehovah is using the Organization today?

any elder has never asked me that question so far but i want to be prepared to answer that question if any of them ask me that question in the future.

i hope that they will never ask me that question.

any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated.

This is the million dollar question for Elders. There is NO grey area...yes or no answer. The bottom line is do you believe this. I was asked this question. The Elder knew NOTHING (we gave him nothing). He based everything he spoke to us about on gossip. We became as tight lipped as you can get. He HAD to get the question out there...it's what they do to get you out if you answer no. What a loving provision from our loving God Jehovah. They are such loving shepherds, princes, stars...whatever they call them today. What a joke!

I would answer..."my personal relationship is between Jehovah and I. Why do you ask? Are you having doubts?"

Despite their false predictions aren't the JWs right? Won't the world eventually end & Paradise come?

aren't there christian denominations who do not make false end of the world predictions but who nevertheless believe that the world will eventually end and paradise (whether in heaven or on earth) will come?.

it seems the watchtower was just jumping the gun when they made false end of the world predictions but they are nevertheless the right: the world will eventually end and paradise will come..

I think this is why so many JW's are relying on anti depressants. The promise is made, continues to be made yet year after year loved ones are dying that were not supposed to die. We are watching family members go through this right now. It is frustrating for us to watch them all struggle, waiting for this day to come. They continue on the meds, washing it down with booze. It seems to be the way they deal with it. The interesting thing is, these are the ones who have the best comments at Sundays Watchtower study. Oh the irony!

If I kept promising my kids that wonderful trip to Disney, yet I never take them. I promise this year after year after year. Do you think eventually they would think...we are never going to Disney? Mom and Dad just keep promising it but never fulfill the promise. Eventually the dream dies and no one believes the promise anymore. I could also use the story of the boy who cried wolf. Eventually no believed him either.

To answer your question...NO! If I am wrong then I can honestly say that I lived a happy life, was honest and raised my kids with dignity and honor. If God wants to destroy me for that than so be it.

We have been following this on A & E. Leah has a great pair of balls. lol

She is sticking it to Scientology! I just love her. I agree...someone who has/had some "pull" in the org, needs to do this to WT. We need a GB member, GB helper or CO to blow the whistle on WT. We need a 2016 Ray Franz. If Ray Franz did today what he did back in the 80's/90's, it would be fantastic. We have something different today...the internet!

Knock on the Door

so a few weeks back i getva knock at the door, i could tell they were jw immediately, its always obvious.

i think its just a regular door knock but at 5.30pm i did think it weird.

Maybe it's desperation for new members. They are bleeding young ones and the old are dying. They really said the org has changed for the better? That's funny! People are leaving and the publicity is not good (child abuse). They are cultier (is that a word?) than ever!

The Story of My Sister - Lurkers: Is this logical?

my sister got baptized at 17 or 18 years old in 1983. she was ripe for the jw picking as she was shy, quiet, naive and with low self-esteem even though she was tall and beautiful and she attended one of the best high schools in philadelphia.. she wasn't outgoing and she only went out on a couple of dates prior to her baptism.

she worked at a day care center.

she loved children and animals.

So sorry this cult has done so much damage to your family. They have a lot to answer for. Hopefully soon they will be answering for so many things (child abuse).

It amazes me that they DF'd your sister for getting married in a church. Our Kingdom Hall was sold to a church several years back. Shouldn't WT be punished for supporting Christendom? The hypocrisy in this cult is staggering. I have witnessed throughout my life, "what goes around comes around." It will happen to WT one day. Just stand by and watch, WT will get caught with their pants down. They are screwing with too many lives and people are getting pissed.

Enjoy your family and live each day to the fullest. I am glad you have your sister back in your life, that is awesome. Your sister is lucky to have you.

i attended a sunday meeting today after missing a couple due to a bout of chronic apathy.

out of 74 publishers we had a grand total of 33. wonderful.

for those that attend, how are you finding the numbers?.
