so how long has it been since you have seen your jw family or friends?

or do you even care to have them in your life anymore?

Hi Christian. Love to watch you and your wife on You tube. You are both so cute!

We don't see family much anymore. We have faded (4 years) but no one officially knows we are out BUT the JW rumor mill goes around so we have been "marked". We are fine with that...we like our space and are enjoying our freedom. It's their loss, we are great and fun people.

As for "friends", it is the same way. Once you have left they will make up what they want about you. We don't worry about it. As I said above, we have too much to look forward to everyday. We are no longer stuck in a cult. Yippie!!!!

while on the your tour group , ask tough questions about the organization's policies on pedophiles and shunning.

do this as a concerned citizen and not a "raging apostate" .

I find it interesting how WT bad mouths the "world", yet they invite them to their new headquarters. Just another example of the blatant hypocrisy! I thought "bad association spoils useful habits." Why does WT want to open it's doors to "the world?" Like someone mentioned, they are trying to make the locals comfortable with a pedo loving organization in it's backyard. WT is trying to soften all the harsh PR they are receiving. Hey WT...it won't work...too much on the internet about your "loving organization."

my g'daughter and her hubby are stationed in okinawa.. i talked with her a few hours earlier today, and she stated they're preparing for the worst.. young people are remarkably resilient, aren't they?.

Anyone know what the special talk is this weekend?

do special talks happen with individual congregations or is it throughout?

i was told by my husband that i had to go with him and the rest of his family to the special talk that was happening this weekend.

How to cultivate peace in an angry world?

Hide in your bunker? What ever happened to "raising yourself erect, your deliverance is getting near?" If that was the case, you would think they would be waiting on their front porch BOLDLY preaching.

WT continues to use fear in order to keep the ranks in line.

Sorry...nope...too busy enjoying life. We have been to so many years of "special" talks. They are not so "special". Just another talk. Boring!

The way this cult treats women is disgusting. I am female and felt inferior while still in JW land. Out for 4 years and have never felt that way anywhere else in life. Just a warning...STAY AWAY FROM THIS CULT! IT IS ABUSIVE, DESTRUCTIVE AND CRUEL! Sorry you have to put up with this crap.

If this couple ever comes on this site, I would like to let them know how I absolutely loved how the took out their DA letters and walked out. Good for you. Now...go enjoy your life and raise your kids like good hardworking people in the normal world do. If your family shuns you, it is their loss, not yours.

Just more proof of how the Eldurs have the noose tied and ready but just need to kick the chair out from under you to finish you off. We have had an Eldur with his noose tied but we won't allow him to kick the chair out. He's pissed. He won't be happy until we are hanging.

The up side of this JC recording is there is now 5 people that are out. Those kids will be better off for it.

Large suburb in California goes from 7 English congregations to 2

i recently caught up with an old friend who lives in fremont, ca (yes, the same fremont where candace conti is from).

it’s a good-sized suburb of san jose, with around a population of 230,000. i lived there for a few years during the 90’s, and at the time there were 7 english jw congregations with the following names:.

north, central, south, niles, warm springs, mission hills, and irvington.

Here is the key that WT just doesn't seem to get. I don't know about you all but the cost of living has not gone down over the years. The retired working man/womans pension no longer exists. If you have no insurance with your employer or are self employed, the cost of health insurance for a family can out weigh even your mortgage. The cost of food, utilities, housing, education, etc. is NOT going down. WT doesn't get that. How can you understand when you are in your JW bubble with all expenses paid.

You Can Encourage An Inactive Christian!

this is part of the clam meeting this week.. how contradictory is it?.

first, they instruct people to avoid inactive ones and to shun them and to treat them the same as da'd or df'd ones, .

Really? You can invite them to the memorial/special talk/assembly BUT if you run into them in public you are "encouraged" to shun them. You just can not make this sh*t up.

I wish I could tell you my story of how my spouse and I have been "encouraged" by one particular Elder. The abuse has been incredible. Even if I had one ounce of even considering to "come back to Jehovah", this behavior of this Elder has slammed any hope of us returning. The true colors of this organization and how the majority of these "shepherds" treat the flock is just mind numbing. I'd rather take a life long dirt nap than spend eternity with these clowns.
