Like everyone said above....it depends on who it is. If you've been out awhile and they have forgotten about you or are just too lazy and don't care, you can probably get away with it. It's the Nazi Elders you have to watch out for. We have one out after us. These ones will try and engage any other Nazi elder that will join them. Watch your back if you don't want to be DFed. If you don't care....celebrate away!

Geoffrey Jackson: "That would be presumptuous of us"...
by Calebs Airplane inwithin the first few minutes, mr. stewart asked geoffrey jackson if the members of the governing body consider themselves to be god's spokesperson on earth.. his response: "that would be presumptuous of us" (implying that they don't consider themselves to be god's sole channel of communication).. to me, that was the worst lie of about 26 lies he's told during this hearing.
however, mr. stewart missed an opportunity to call out mr. jackson on this bold-faced lie.
he should have asked him to explain why the watchtower magazine teaches otherwise.

His answer was beautiful. It was all being taped for all to see. The more the GB is exposed, the more people are waking up. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WT!

The GB doesn't want anyone seeing their beautiful apartment over looking the beautiful lake. They know they live high off the hog but just don't want any rumblings going on about them. They have enough bad press. The natives are getting restless. Lol

Jehovah's people are not happy people
by Phoebe ini finally stopped attending the meetings about 4 months go.
i won't be going back - ever.. but i've decided the best reply to the watchtower is to be happy and i do try to be happy every day even thought i wasted my entire life on this religion.
i cherish every day, practice mindfulness and do my best to be content with the life i have.. it is only now that i see that most jws i know are deeply unhappy people.

The majority of our still in family are on anti depressants as well. They all look spaced out and kind of like the Stepford wives. Crazy!

JW's are like kids. Their parents constantly remind them of the trip they will take them on, to Disney World. The trip NEVER comes. The kids no longer believe the parents and have lost any confidence they may have had in their parents.
I believe the generation teaching blew the wind out of the older ones sails. The Governing Body had an opportunity during the Zone talk a few years ago, to encourage the flock. They chose to discuss tight pants spanxs and men not being good marriage material if they are not MS's by the age of 23 years.
There are so many JW's who are suffering sickness, financial woes and family problems. I'm sure the members could have used some true encouragement. The GB chose to beat ones down instead of using the opportunity to build up. WT has done its own damage to the flock and has A LOT of blood on their hands! Shame on them!
We wonder why so many are leaving and are on anti depressants.

Worse than the maggots apparently...
by NoviceLocs14 inso after a couple of years, i've finally re-established contact with a close relative (not revealing too much for privacy reasons).
it turns out that he is dfd (for the typical jw reasons, of course).
we caught up about a lot of things, including family.

Has anybody experienced a judicial committee in a private venue?
by Chook ini think getting them to agree to a private place would give you an edge (even if the egde of their sword closer to home).
if i'm ever hauled before their kangaroo court i will only go on one of three conditions .1 non jw venue .2 with legal representation .
3 the recording of proceedings.

I agree. No legal representation...no meeting. Any decision or announcement without proof needs to go to my attorney in writing. They won't do it. Their rules, their game. I don't play by their rules or play their game.

I'm giving up in 2017! (More steps in my fading)
by Skepsis inwhen i joined this site at the beginning of this year, i was serving as an uber-zealous regular pioneer and ms in a foreign congregation where the need is greater.
i was giving public talks and having parts at regional conventions.
had started to have doubts but i hadn't time to focus on them, i simply was overcharged with so many activities and things to do.. i started by quitting pioneering but couldn't think i would give further steps for a long time.

It's good you know the reality of leaving. We have had some discussions with some who are totally shocked that no one will have anything to do with them after they leave.
You seem to really have your head on straight. Keep us posted.
