I thing the JW's are starting to see it. They are depressed because of all the broken promises. Sad

Do you or did you experience too much intrusion into your personal life by the elders in your congregation?
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question because i have personally experienced first hand the control and intrusion into my personal life by the elders at our hall; and for virtually trivial things or non issues!
what's more, i regularly hear of individuals moving to other halls because they were stumbled by the thought police....er, i mean these elders.. have you had any such experience?
have your elders been a bit ott over trivialities?.

Positive Topic - ‘Good Elders’ or Extra Special Kindness shown by elders
by Farmer Jim1 inafter the last topic getting me mad, does anyone have a positive experience of dealing with an elder or a particular favourite elder that was a top bloke?.

Yes, we new some good Elders but as one poster said above, in the end they will tow the party line. A cult has a tight grip on people. Even good people. These Elders THINK they are doing the right thing and that Jah is watching them. Like I said...It's a tight grip. TRUST NO ONE!!!

Oh yes we have!!! It was an Elder. Guess what they got when they tried to intrude. NOTHING! We told him NOTHING. We felt like we didn't owe him anything. This is a volunteer organization, not the FBI or IRS! We pretty much let him know to....BUTT OUT!
Remember....the Elders only get as much power as WE allow. Have some fun with it. If you ever want to piss someone off, find the achilles' heel. Most Elders love the power and title of being an Elder (that is their achilles heel). Don't give them the power and they get pissed.
It was kinda fun playing with the little ass*ole!

gb, PLEASE, PLEASE UP THE ORGANIZATIONAL HARSHNESS IN 2018
by steve2 insometimes i have expressed a longing for jw organization to tone down its rhetoric and become, well, nicer and more loving.
i have not been alone in my hope.
some posters have even said that if a wave of kindness washed over jw organization and, say, the shunning doctrine was modified (e.g., left up to the individual's conscience without fear of retribution from elders), they'd go back.

Oh....the tight pants talk! That was the final nail in the coffin for us. My spouse (never a MS and well pass the age of 23) was infuriated with that talk. We were beginning our fade and listening to that talk was incredible. I have heard more people left due to that talk. So many other encouraging things could have been discussed.
Thanks Tony!!!

Whole families leaving the Org has increased
by pomo6780 ini have noticed in the uk a few families i used to know while in the borg have exited together.
some include former elders and ministerial servants.
i observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the org.

Yes...this WHOLE family left. Yes...we were stumbled. Watching the blatant hypocrisy, judgement and just plain down right abuse this organization lays on it's members is just staggering. Life is good! We hope to hear of more entire families leaving in the near future!

12,666 in attendance. Ironic? 666? lol
From our observation, a lot of the Dubbies are spending their time traveling and not a assemblies. Several that we have been in touch with are going on cruises, Hawaii & world travel. They are not seeing any end in sight and have watched all of their elder relatives give up any kind of life for an end with fruit and Pandas, The next generation won't make the same mistake. Life....here we come!!!!

Another congregation bites the dust
by NikL inwent to the meeting last night with my believing wife.
the co was visiting and delivered a really cult-ish talk on loyalty but that's another story.. they made the announcement that starting january 1st they were going to have only 3 congregations in this town instead of 4.. they are dissolving one and growing the territories of the remaining 3. the reason given is that many of the elders are getting up there in age and can't do what they used to do.
basically not enough elders and ministerial servants...or even men reaching out for that matter.

Yes...people are leaving. The ole domino effect. Telling the rank and file not to look at the internet is like telling the Elders not to look a porn. lol
Watchtower is squeezing "bums" in the seats so it doesn't seem apparent to the rank and file what is going on. A shell game WT has played for years. People are not stupid.
The interesting thing is, we told two family members that we no longer attend. They didn't even ask why. I found this perplexing. My spouse said...."they already know why, they are seeing it in their own congregations. The lack of love, hypocrisy and judgement from the JW's is right in front of everyone's faces."
