  i just thought i'd share this story from my past.. back in the 80s i remember the big problem seemed to be about music.

  (today, it's tight pants, i guess) the organization, society, whatever they were calling themselves, were always going on about the music we listened to.

  disco, heavy metal, the whole "backwards masking" thing...couldn't escape hearing or reading about how satan was corrupting us unless we were listening to kingdom melodies or elevator music.. i was assigned to wtf in the late 80s and remember one of the articles stating that "young people know that the rhythm of rock music is the rhythm of sexual intercourse.

  Typical Watchtower...everything enjoyable is "corrupt."

  Sorry to hear that you left the "truth"

  the other day i ran into a jw who just happened to be my very friend during my jw days (which were most of my life).

  so for about 60 years we were each other’s very best friend.

  we grew up together from about 8 years old and are the same age, now in our early 70’s.

  Great response. I will have to try and remember that one.

  It is so sad when we loose contact with people we truly cared about. We think about all the good times and even the bad times that we went through together. I am sure you are the same wonderful person that you were years ago. My spouse and I left a few years ago but we are still the same kind and generous people we were before (minus the cult). The sad part about this is, people no longer want to be attached to us due to inactivity in WT. It says so much about those people. We joke from time to time. I wonder if we won millions in the lottery or were given a large sum of money, do you think these ones would give us a call. My heart breaks for those who thought these people ("friends" and family) would love them no matter what. This cult puts such a wedge in relationships and the lives of others. There is nothing more sacred than family and Watchtower has done NOTHING to keep families together. They have ripped them apart. For that, I think Watchtower will pay dearly. I hope I live long enough to see it.

  i have been meeting with member's of the kingdom hall, and i have attended a few times now on sundays.

  i'd like to discuss experiences with this group since i'm new.

  so far, i love it.

  Everyone had given you 100% accurate advise. Take it to heart.

  "I don't plan on taking out my nose ring or to stop getting tattoos. If they prevent that, I will not comply. "

  JW's will try and "clean you up" eventually. They are love bombing you.

  i think i read somewhere that if you have been inactive for ten years plus, the elders will not try to meet with you and corner you to get you back "in".

  is that true?.

  i just realized that mr. spiral and i haven't gone to meetings or reported time for over ten years.

  We have stuck with this line and it works. It can be hard not to let everything you feel come out of your mouth like a waterfall. By making a statement like this, you do not feed the JW gossiper or the Elder that is trying to hang you from the highest tree. Not giving a JW info they so desperately want is like letting the air out of a balloon. If you are dealing with a bully Elder, it can actually be fun watching the air being let out of his balloon. They want the info so bad but you are taking control and not allowing it. So fun!!!

  He gave this same talk years ago. I guess the rank and file are not listening. This guy has become a joke.

  Looks like he has a nice tan. I guess the JW rock star life style is pretty nice. Looks like he is eating well too. If you think the congregation kisses the CO's a** what do they do with these 7?

  Robotic, sterile and reminds me of the Stepford Elders. lol I know it is a training video but who talks like this? It is showing the uncaring, unloving "Brothers" they really are. All about hours, title & judging. So glad these things are hitting the internet. The rank and file are getting to see the inner workings of the borg.

  Not angry, just glad we were able to escape semi young enough to hopefully be able to retire one day. Loosing hope that we will ever get our family out.
