Mentally diseased ANOINTED!
by Normalfulla inmy aunt is a super uber jw, albeit a little more delusional than the standard issue jw.
she has 4 kids all who are out and never baptised, she's a widow now and sold the family home and has bought a new place and has plenty of cash in the bank.
my cousins are all very concerned because their mum has a new friend whos "anointed" and says jehovah has spoken to her and she will survive armageddon and so will her kids if she sticks close.. she has been paying out for holidays and vehicle repairs for this anointed sister and her extended family and my cousins are alarmed at whats going on and can see the situation for what it is.

There are so many uber cult members who drool over anyone in the Borg who has a title. Anointed, Bethelite, CO, Elder, MS, Pioneer. The list goes on and on.
We have a close friend who absolutely loves anyone higher up at Behel. His tongue drops out of his mouth if anyone higher up is in his presence. He will do ANYTHING for them! Probably give his last dime and last breathe if he had to. It is what he lives for.
Your Aunt probably has the same mentality. Unfortunately, the Elders could care less. Most of them just don't want to get involved. Especially if they are dealing with a dissenter. lol Who knows, maybe the Aunt is giving WT and the congregation money. We know of a well off sister who cuts checks to the congregation whenever they fall short. The Elders don't want to stop the money train. If the sister quits cutting checks, then the Elders are asked to cough it up.
If your Aunt quit giving money so freely or ran out of money, they would stick her in a nursing home and she would never see the JW's again.

Watchtower Nov 3 2018 All about God and his feelings
by days of future passed inthis is a subject that the wt has covered many times.
it uses the example of human feelings as a basis to understand god.. for instance: under the heading "does god notice you?
", it goes into great detail of about what a woman feels when she bonds with her child.

So they use the example of a loving Mother bonding with her child. Now, this Mother is an imperfect person. How many imperfect mothers desire their child to be destroyed? I don't know any!
BUT
Our loving and perfect Creator is going to destroy everyone of his children that is NOT a JW!
Yeah, that make perfect sense WT. You just can't make this stuff up. The JW logic is staggering.

Why can JW's attend funerals or weddings in a church?
by QuestioningEverything inwhat is the reasoning/policy behind the practice that a jw can't attend an event such as funeral or wedding in another church?
i know of someone that didn't attend her older sisters funeral because it was held in a baptist church.
she waited outside until the service was over and then went to the family dinner afterwards.

"Stop sharing every aspect of your life on FB and Instagram."
Tech said if perfectly!!!
I told this to a sister one time. Everyone was getting onto her about communicating with her sister (who was DF'd). I asked her how everyone knew she was communicating with her. She said, "I post it on FB." Well, there ya go!!! I told her to quit doing that, it is none of anyone's business what you do. The same goes to those who go around telling the Elders about what goes on in their bedrooms or private lives. IT'S NONE OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS!!!! The Elders make the rank and file feel like they are going to hell if they don't confess their sins to them. That's BS!!! Let the Elders know that they have zero power over you! We did this to a couple of Elders and quite frankly I think it blew their minds. I don't think anyone EVER pushed back on them. It was amusing to watch!! lol

What was the last thing you said to your jw family?
by caves in7 years ago i had my last conversation with the toxic jw that mostly raised me.
every conversation was toxic for my entire adult life with her.
the last time we spoke was right before the memorial 7 years ago and she was laying on the usual heavy guilt and fear mongering about how jeho counts his people at the memorial.

Like Shrek said...."better out than in I say." lol
We told our family that we are happier and doing better out of the Borg than in. They looked at us like a deer in head lights. Totally baffled them!!!!

He has always been a hot head. I remember something similar happened when he brought his baby daughter home from the hospital years ago.
He need to get his temper in check before he ends up behind bars for killing someone.

"Although he may not intervene immediately, in due time he will hold unrepentant wrongdoers to account for the way they have treated others."
It amazes me how WT looks at everyone else BUT themselves. How many have been treated wrongly by WT? A narcissist will NEVER look at themselves. It is always the other persons fault.
It is interesting that WT will see a man or a woman leave someones house and are able to DF or punish them for the the appearance of the person spending the night alone together. Zero proof of adultery or fornication but will not look at a pedo in the congregation unless there are 2 witnesses. This sickens me!!!

It baffles me why they would even say this
by Tameria2001 inback in 2001, i left the jws rather abruptly.
i had discovered things about the watchtower that really made me quite angry, angry because i had been lied to, and it took me just to darn long to figure it out.
before i had left, my husband and i wrote 3 letters, one to the elders at our congregation, and two to our parents.

This sounds VERY familiar. We to have been told similar things.
They are too old to do anything different. It scares them to even contemplate leaving the borg. It is ALL they know. It is like the movie the Truman show.
If your family wants to continue to believe this, even if it is not true, so be it. If they choose not to associate with you or your family, it is their great loss. As much as it hurts, it is their choice and we may not understand why but we have to go along with it or it will drive us nuts thinking about it. This is what we have decided to do. When we are with our still in family, it really is just small talk and casual conversation. When WT subjects come up we just sit there and smile and keep quiet. It is just too frustrating going head to head with them. They all know how we feel about WT and we will not continue to argue with them.
WT is their comfort zone. Their warm blanket. It makes them feel safe, warm and cozy. If they left that comfort zone and went and lived in the real world, I just don't think they can handle it. WT tells them how to feel, think and live. Doing anything without WT is scary. It is a VERY sad way to live.

Praises the WT for JW apps but sneers at members with higher education, in 2018
by ohnightdivine ini guess we all know the answer why this still happens... but really, why?.
just a month ago i was having some conversation with this sister and since i'm on inactive status, she was trying to get me to download all those jw apps because the "work is speeding up" and i shouldn't be missing out on anything from the org.
especially when they come up with all these "provisions" that intend only to benefit the members.

Yes, WT is wonderful at "using" people. If it benefits WT, well it's okay. I have heard several who attended college say that they took a lot of shit for attending BUT when WT could "use" their services all was well.
Sorry, my spouse and I don't take too kindly to being used. WT will NEVER receive a moment of our time or another cent we have earned!
