I really appreciated Atlantis' comment yesterday. It really was one of those days that you want to see some justice for all the damage WT is doing to peoples lives.

His comment came "at the proper time."

It gave me hope that WT is shooting itself in the foot and it's coming for them.

do we all remember that expression when we were jws?.

someone new would "come into the truth", and be so enthusiastic and keen, that we would all joke about "locking them up for the first 6 months because they would preach to everyone".

jws thought that the passion for "learning the truth" was the issue.

Our family pretty much came out and asked us if we still attended meetings. We came out and finally said no. Then the questions started to flow from family. We were honest with them. Then they tried to get us to the Memorial, which we said no to. Then they tried to get us to the KH for a special talk. We said no. At first, they tried to be understanding and one family member said that they thought "we would come to our senses." Now, they have slowly distanced themselves from us. We can feel it. The "you left us" thing.

So much for being honest eh. I guess we need to be punished.

Would we do it the same way over again? Yes. We just couldn't do it anymore. Faking it is just not part of who we are.

Hidden Spaces

well my son (he's pimi) came to me the other day and asked if i could make a bookcase with hidden spaces built into it.

i asked him what for?

he said that they were encouraged to start thinking of and preparing for persecution and hide literature.

The Almighty is not even helping them out in the CSA court cases, selling off their KH's and he wasn't around for Russia. Looks like Jah took a permanent smoke break. lol

Fear mongering works well. You should see our JW family deal with the "evil world." They can't! They are scared of everyone!! Sad!!!

Remember The Green Song Books

then new and improved purple song books that came out in 1966. then there was the brown song book and a even newer one in 2006. .

thousands of hours wasted singing those stupid songs and their stupid lyrics.. song 106 "watch how we walk and watch we talk.

i remember inserting different works in the lyrics to relive the boredom.

Does home schooling really work?

it strikes me that 'home schooling' is something often favored for jw kids, i've come across a number of families that do just that lately.

and, that got me thinking, is this just a cop out for a proper education?.

i am sure it is pretty difficult for a home schooled kid to get into a good university to study something like law or medicine.

If it is done correctly. In the state we live in, it is a big thing. They have groups who home school and these groups get together for events and field trips.

I think when some JW's do it, it is solely done to keep the kid out of the "world." If the child is in a dangerous area or is miserable, it can be a good alternative. Some JW children who are so protected can go batshit crazy, once they are let out of the "JW cage." We have seen this happen. Parents have to remain VERY involved.

Home schooling was not a alternative for us. Our kids have turned out fine and have learned how to deal with everyday life and different personality types. Kids have to learn to function.

It's time

we got a call from close jw family, that it is now time to visit the kingdom hall again because armagedon is a question of a few months.

now it will happen in a very close time, the brothers say so, was the message.. i had earlier the feeling that jw's think the time has arrived because what they say and what they do, work like mad men with their chart every weekend.. so the expetations are high.. gorby's wife replied "how do you know, you should not know day and hour".

stay alert was the reaction.. so sad and so stupid.. g. .

Selling Kingdom Halls

my parents live in wisconsin and my dad called to tell me they are selling 3 kingdom halls near him including the one he attends.

i live in ca ( east bay ) and ours along with others were sold.

i wonder how many total around the globe - seems to be everywhere.
