They emphasize needing more money even while newly baptised growth is zero to barely any and their costs keep rising with inflation. In other words, this is a tip-off that they are desperate for money. Most of their annual $2 billion may be property holdings while actual liquid cash is relatively small and regular kinghall going JWs keep dropping and not donating as much.

"as a reminder to the brothers handling the congregation accounts, donations placed in the boxes for the worldwide work are to be remitted monthly and should not be used for payment on a kingdom hall property loan or for any other congregation expense.".

I may be trying out a new church....
by Eyebrow2 inmy husband is agnostic, and i really have not been able to find a religion that i am comfortable with.
the last year or so i have really been missing having something community based and a wee bit spiritual to belong to, especially since moving to texas, where i know just a few people and oh my god...everyone down here seems to go to church.
an organization that does not make me feel like i have to look at others and view them as bad becasuse they dont believe as i do.. my husband and i have been joking that we needed to find a church of irreverence...but then i started re reading the uniterian universalist posts, and checked out the local website.

To become a Christian servant examine your life as to harmony with Bible principles then form a group of two or more friendly persons who meet to read scriptures, fellowship and help others. Why not invite others to use the chatroom with you as well as be asking friendly persons locally to read the Bible locally with you?

They should post because God gave them the gift of life and shown much goodness to us all even though we are all imperfect. Having been a JW is not the point, but the point is that we love God who did not cause the darkness that the apostate Governing Body over JWs has. Love, not negativity is the key to happiness!
BTW, the Andersons won the right to have their suit against Watchtower continued. Congratulations.

What the Church of Jehovah provides is the comfort that comes from the Bible instead of the Watchtower's apostacised Governing Body.
Fellowship is open to ex-JW's but also to all others who love Jehovah.

The emphasis is not on the name so much as the PERSON, who is kind and loving.
Local fellowship depends on those who are local to find one or more friendly persons to meet with, but the site itself also offers a chatroom and postings of upbuilding Bible readings.
