I have noticed that most Jehovahs Witnesses and many who have left are very immature. Could you please give me your oppinion on that. Do they go as far as controlling your maturity ?

Vivamus,
I quit smoking a year and a half ago. I tried to quit many times before using all those aides like the patch, the pills, even trying acupuncture, what a joke that was did nothing but give me sore ears...Finally a year and a half ago I got so sick and tired. I awoke at around 5:00 am that one mourning and had only one smoke I knew I was going to have to get dressed and such to make my trip to the local store to feed the urge, but the frustration was bigger about the getting dressed part and I said that's it "NO MORE" I quit cold turkey that day August 5th and I have not smoked since and really have had no desire to smoke since. Oh it was difficult the first couple of weeks but if you hold on to that it will go away very soon and you will not believe the changes your body makes when you do quit. Man you feel more alive, you can actually breathe better and your smell , wow ! and the taste for food but be careful the taste for food is so great that you might gain a few like I did. I ganed 35 pounds from it but then you feel more like exercising and that is good in itself.
Good Luck and stay with the program you will be glad that you did and oh ! The money you save ? It's incredible, I put an extra $250.00 in my pocket each month......

I too have been degraded for being a Christian and almost made to feel as if I were stupid or having a lack of intelligence because I believe in the bible. I do not understand why the bitterness and that those who choose not to believe feel they should be respected but yet cannot give the same respect in return. They degrade those who choose to keep their faith and are blind the thier coldness as if they do nothing wrong. I know we are all human and none of us are perfect but I also know that it hurts deep when someone makes you feel like you have a lack of intelligence just because you choose to love your God as I do. I think that for some when they left the borg they left with a anger deep inside an anger that should be only towards those who lied to them rather than towards those who still love the Lord.
Satan is the controller of all evil as well as the root of all hate, as a Christian you should know this. And for those who read this I really don't care if you want to reply with your bitterness as I know you will, but then I guess it just proves what I am saying. Sabrina don't worry what these who hate God think about you or what you believe, just know full well that as long as you continue to love the Lord he will in return love you and give you your rightful place in Heaven. Gods peace be unto you.....

To whom it concerns:
I in no way, thought, action, in my heart and soul attempted to crucify anyone here with my words. It was purely out of concern for my own salvation in which I keep my faith strong and true in that I wrote this post. My intent was not to hurt anyone or to slander anyone here with anything I said. My sincere appologies to all those who were hurt or disrupted by my writting. At the same time as I hurt others (unintentionally) some have choosen to return the hurt with your words and it was intended to do so, so I have to ask those it concerns does two wrongs make it a right ? Not in my book of ethics......
I am a Christian and one who dedicates his life to God and Christ, crucify me if you will but even death cannot make me stray for I fear not man nor death. I have a strong walk with the Lord and am not sorry if it bothers some of you..I never intended to consider or to judge anyone as "PIGS" I merely stated scripture. I also noticed that there were a few who posted here who have disowned Christian faith but yet seemed it fit to quote scripture, that in itself is hypocritical.
Minumus thanks for your support and it is nice to see others here still keeping the faith in the Lord and it gives me great pleasure and strength to continue here as a poster. May God keep you well brother....And to everyone have a very Merry Christmas and God Bless.

First of all this thread was for the believers I guess some do not comprehend what they read. I also noticed that the ones who took it so terribly that they seem to think that they can ridicule those who believe but oh don't say anything bad about what they believe. I think they call that self righteuosness.
Big Tex, thanks for your reply and sticking up for my thread, I really appreciate it.
Listen people I am having some trouble here within myself of staying here and I needed some support on this issue in order for me to stay, I did indeed get enough support to stay and I am very grateful for that. Some seem to think that I claim to be hollier than though and in fact I am just the opposite, I am a sinner just everyone else and far from perfection so please do not accuse me of that, that is just plain rude and self centered.

amac,
Well that is simple, you did not start your race, those integrities were handed down from your and mine ancestors, we were taught them by someone else as they were also taught. Your folks were taught them by there folks and so on and so on. Just because you do not believe in the Christ and who he is and what he did does not mean that your folks did not or their folks did not. These values have been handed down and handed down time after time again. No you do not have to be a believer in God in order to have those kind of qualities but they come from somewhere did they not ? Yes they had too and most likely your parents. and where did they get them from ? The air? Highly unlikely/////

amac,
You say that we all deserve respect, well where was the respect when I used a scripture from something I believe in. I respect the fact that some people do not believe in God, I have friends that do not believe in God, but I will ad that when I talk about God to them they give me the respect of hearing what I say without caustic replies. In return I also listen to them. But I did not get the respect of what I believe when I got replies such as I did even though that scripture is in the bible and not something I just made up but I did not get the same respect you think I should give others as yourself. This is not a one sided issue here and your certainly not talking with a kid here by far either. I have been around the block a few times more than you. So I guess what I am getting at is this " you get what you give" if you want respect then you have to give it also......peace

drwatson,
By the way I did not mean that scripture to be rude but I do however do believe in scripture and I used that scripture as a concern of if I was wasting my time here. Because there are so many unbelievers here and only a handful of believers it seems that because of what I believe and you do not that maybe I should not be here. I would hope that you can see where it might bother my conscience a bit. Anyway I just wanted to make myself clear on this subject and to let others know I am not looking to get anyone upset by any means.

drwatson,
I think that people misconstru the true meaning of having God in them. It is not important to have religion as it is to have spirituallity. The scriptures do not say have religion but to believe in Christ as the saviour. He said there was only one faith not one religion my pastor even teaches this in the church I go to. Yes I go to church but I go to learn more and to worship the one I believe in as my creator. But I am not saved by a church but only by grace and grace alone am I saved. And as far as the later, applogy excepted.thank for that

freelife,
Thank you for your kind response that was what I was looking for and not the rude inconsiderate response from drwatson whom obviously has some guilt over some things, because I think it is guilt that cause people to get fired up
