Questions about the '89 WT change
by JimmyPage inthis is in reference to the '89 wt with the change from the individual issue to the bound volume that originally said the preaching work would be completed by the end of the 20th century.
my question is: are there bound volumes of the '89 wt that were printed prior to 2000 that do not contain the change?
or does anyone know where i could get an original issue of the individual '89 mag?

At the convention in germany/hamburg some apostates placed themselves right at the main entry. They have been there on saturday on sunday. On saturday evening the attendants formed a "wall" and pulled some of the brothers away from that path. Sunday a newspaper was there for an interview and the spokesman said "We live in a democracy. The woman is allowed to do that and everyone has to decide on his own. It is strange to be against jehovahs witness if you once have been one of them." He said they don't bother about her. (article in the german newspaper: http://www.mopo.de/2007/20070716/hamburg/panorama/allein_gegen_die_zeugen_jehovas.html)
But look at the video which proofs his lie! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qDZsLWiDXA

Seven Trumpets of Revelation
by Zico ini read on here that the society teaches that the seven trumpets of revelation are representative of seven conventions held in america in the 1920. is this actually true?
is it old light?
i asked some witnesses but they all gave me a look like i was weird and said it couldn't be right, and i can't check the watchtower library as i can't get it on my computer (apparently the society doesn't think mac users are worthy of the 'good news') i mean... it would be a bit...odd, wouldn't it?

The seven trumpets have been seven resolutions - this is a listing of them (german) but the year and location should help you to get the englisch ones. http://www.sektenausstieg.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1380&Itemid=105

In the german wikipedia a JW tries to remove this sentence. I as a german would translate as "couldn't" but wanted to be sure of it. Thanks

(Q): Can you, yourself, translate that into Hebrew?
(A): Which?
(Q): That fourth verse of the second chapter of Genesis?
(A): You mean here?
(Q). Yes?
(A): No, I won't attempt to do that.
What Franz "wouldn't attempt" to translate into Hebrew is what many have said as a simple exercise an average first or second-year Hebrew student in seminary would be able to do. (Quelle [16]
question: does it mean he could not translate or would you say he did not want to do?
