  it was recently that i found out that my dad was a paedophile while reading a post on this site (shocker to say the least), but out of something so awful a good thing has occurred.

  some on here will know my backstory about how my loving jw parents disowned, but i digress.

  thanks to that post i am now in contact with my sister who unbeknown to me is a member of this site and saw my response on the thread about my dad.

  Carla, there were elders at court to make sure the cult wasn't broughg into disrepute. They disrupted their own cult by publicly reproving him and taking away his eldership only! No parents of young children were warned. He abused his own grandaughter when he should have lived her and protected her like any normal loving grandparents. So who's to say that no child is off limits?! But no, he took everything innocent in my girl 😡

  
  

  as as for my mum, she believes Satan made him do it, he was weak. He's not a paedophile. And so has cut me and my children off in support of him.

  Hi Moley, yes it is your dad. My dad also. My daughter that the son of a bitch abused. I'm so glad to see you're happy, I know we have had our 'shit and messed up times' but I want to tell you I'm genuinely happy to see you're happy and you've found peace and love.

  We were so messed up as kids. At the age of 40 I finally feel free. That time he was in hospital with his heart attack? He was doing it then. He should have died to save my baby more years of terror. His elders protected him, wasn't even df.

  damn the Borg to hell and Damn 'my father' to burn in hell for all eternity.

  oh how the mighty have fallen! Yet I suspect once he's released there will be plenty in the Borg to welcome him back 😡

  I've read with interest the comments on this thread. I can definately tell those who may have doubts to the authenticity of this horrific story being true that sadly it is true. This man was an elder in launceston congregation. He has been publicly reproved only because he was 'repentant' he has recieved many shepherding calls to support him and his wife. His wife is standing by hi claiming "he is not a bad man he just did a bad thing". She has since turned her back on the victim and the victims family. Between them both and various family members of the paedophile many lies have been told to disparage the victim and her family. The elders continue to support them. At no point was the congregation warned that a paedophile walked amongst them with their children. Only now do they know, now he's in prison.

  No support was ever offered to the victim or her family.
