  they are having a discussion because someone during door-to-door service confronted them with the un letter.

  they are all saying that it is "obviously made up"... but the person is planning on writing to the society to ask.

  Thank you so much! That's an amazing history... much, much more than I knew about. Crazy. Sounds like quite a few of the former mods are over here now. :) I really appreciate you listing that out. I once lurked on JWZone (back before I even had a connection to dubs, I think.. just out of curiosity!) but that for, maybe, a day. I didn't know what happened after that, until I had a REASON to look up JW stuff (got serious with my inactive dub boyfriend who is now my husband)... found this site, and from here, WitnessWorld.

  That's really interesting, Redhorse... I haven't been around too long (online in the Witness/ex-Witness world) - did there used to be more true Witness message board sites? I only know of 2 or 3 now. But I've heard a lot refered to in the past tense.

  I wonder how long they will continue... or if the Society will eventually shut them down.

  I am married. :) I'm a wordly girl who married a JW who is now inactive. Not because of me, though, although many people think that.

  I think the married-single question is a good one! But I'm not ready to put my name. :)

  I don't think I'm going to close it at this point... If I get kicked off WW, it really doesn't affect me at all. It was just a hobby, like visiting any other website. The thoughts people have posted here are value and I think the experience is good for other people to read. Besides, they would probably WANT this post to come down! :) hee hee. But thanks for telling me how. I will keep that in mind.

  Coca-Cola -- Someone heard that the Society had stock in Coca-Cola, but someone said that was actually the Mormons, or something to that affect. Who knows. No one mentioned stock in Rand - where was bruce then? :)

  I really appreciate everyone's help and thoughts on this. You guys are the best!!!

  This is actually making me sick. Like, physically sick. I feel like I got caught with my pants down. I know that's dumb, but I feel guilty now. Geez. Dumb me. I didn't even guess that they would come here - and HOW is that acceptable? Why is it okay for them to lurk here, but not okay for other dubs to? Doesn't that expose them to apostasy? grrr.
