Where on the wrist? Directly below the heel of the hand? Or further down the arm? I had heard of that before but wasn't sure where the point was...

Thanks. That makes sense... I have a pretty sensitive stomach anyway, so that could be it. I am a university student and my pharmacy is part of the school - it is not open on weekends, either. :( But first thing tomorrow, you can bet I'm calling....

I am having the most miserable weekend.
It started Thursday with a nasty cough. Friday morning, I felt like crap and was coughing up crap so I went to the doctor. He told me I have bronchitis (yayyy) and prescribed both an antibiotic and a cough syrup with codeine (that puts me to sleep).
So, I came home and got online and looked up information on bronchitis. I found on numerous pages that it is almost always a virus and that antibiotics do nothing to help it. greeeeaaaaat. Anyone know anything about this? Isn't taking antibiotics unnecessarily bad for you because you can build up a resistance?
Of course, I am also insanely nauseous . I don't know how this fits in with bronchitis, but I can't keep anything down - not even the antibiotics. (Hell, not even water today!) So they're definitely not doing any good nor any harm, I guess. But I'm completely miserable. I've puked three times today... the third time was sparked by a sip of soda. This is not good. I'm starting to wonder if I have the flu on top of bronchitis, or if I'm allergic to the medicine, or what the heck is going on.
I know a message board is not the best place to seek medical advice. I plan on calling the doctor tomorrow (dang doctors with no weekend hours!) and asking what to do. But in the mean time... anyone know any ways to combat nausea? As I am sitting here, I feel like I might need to run and worship the porcelaine god once again...
Thanks.

If You Found A Wallet----Would You Turn It In??
by minimus inwould you have to think about it??
?

Absolutely yes. With ID, send it back. Without, put an ad in the paper, like someone else said. I am known for losing things (although never my wallet) and could only hope people would send things back!
If it's not yours, don't keep it.
Off that subject... we've been getting someone else's bills. Have no idea how -- it's someone else's name with our address, and it's not a former resident. Monday morning, gotta try again to call the bill people and say HEY, they don't live here! Little things like that annoy me.

Pet peeve #24.
by onintwo inwhy is it that cashiers hand you your change back with all of the loose change on top of haphazardly stacked bills?.
man, that pisses me.
i remember years ago when i was trained, we always handed the change back into the open hand.
-

Ah! I hate that too - because the change often slides right out of my hand. It's like they throw it at you.
When I worked a pizza place, I always counted back the change. It's just the right way to do it, and (as this thread shows) people appreciate it.

questions about interfaith and interrace dating according to JWs
by greenmarie in.
i was wondering what jehovah's witnesses have to say about interfaith dating or inter-race dating or if either of those are even issues at all.
your input/comments would be so appreciated!

A sincere question about prayer for any kinds of Christians out there...
by somebodylovesme ina few weeks ago, i received a mass e-mail from one of my mainstream christian friends requesting prayers for headaches she's been having.
i wrote back and told her i hoped she felt better (i'm personally not religious at all).
today, i got another mass e-mail thanking everyone for their prayers, and that her headaches were gone now through the grace of god.

Of course humans have done it. I guess right there, right smack dab there, is my qualm with religion. If God's so great, then why is he useless?
ugh I really do apologize if this is coming across as combative. Not the intention. Just such a crazy topic to me - and look, I started it!

Thank you for your answers. I appreciate it a lot.
I just have one more questions (I'm really not trying to be rude or accusatory, just curious)... if God is looking at the big picture, what on earth could be the benefit of having millions of people dying absolutely needlessly from starvation? That's not really a fair question, I know, but I can't for the life of figure out how religions justify such absolute horror.
Sorry if I ramble or seem like I can't be satisfied... some things just don't make sense to me, even after such kind explanations.
Thanks,

I am presenting an academic paper that involves the WTS at a conference in April. I will post if/when it is actually published.
