wow. that poem was ..... interesting but i totally cant agree. worldly people do not always mean that much trouble. i would also like to point out that the jw in the poem willing knew when she was married that she would need to submit to her husband and therefore lay down many of her religious rights and practices. i think that if the jw had been the husband, the marriage would have turned out much different. nevertheless, i get what so many of you are saying.... mixed just wont work, and if it does it wont work happily. thanks for your comments!!

ya, i know they "encourage" it... but i spent a couple hours on the watchtower website last night and found not a single thing that emphasized being "equally yoked." all any of the articles said about finding a husband or wife was that they should have good morals, be responsible, etc. but if jw's arent allowed to celebrate worldly holidays because they would be with worldly family members, then i am surprised they aren't too persistant on keeping their members married to non-worldly spouses.
