the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!
they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

Posted by Dansk on June 16, 2004 --- This morning I had some bone marrow taken from my pelvis. My lymph node results are still not through, nor are my CT scan results. A really wonderful haematologist believes I have Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, of which there are many types. I am provisionally booked in to start chemotherapy treatment next Thursday, depending on my biopsy results. I was told that if I didn't receive the chemotherapy I'd be dead inside two months. VERY SOBERING!!

Today is August 20. It's been more than two months since you posted the above message. You haven't had chemo and you're still with us (praise God)!
So, remember --- doctors do their best, but they don't know everything. Their predictions are just best guesses.

Refusing to eat Lucky Charms cereal...

Since I'm diabetic I don't buy much cereal, just Post Bran Flakes for my husband. I had never heard of the Sanitarium brand. Can you tell me some of the cereals they make? Do they make any of the well-known ones like Reese's Puffs, Capn Crunch, etc?

We couldn't go to Dairy Queen for ice cream for about 3 years due to that lecithin stupidity!!

An exJW once told me there was a type of chocolate candy bar she wasn't allowed to have because of the lecithin --- can't remember which one.
I've been a member of the Compuserve Religon Forum for years and it's so weird to read the posts from the one and only remaining JW (they've all faded away over the years). He keeps insisting that he's been a member of the organization for over 30 years and the elders never MAKE you do anything and never control your life, and it's always a matter of conscience, yadda yadda.
Then I come over here (where you have all so graciously allowed me to visit and occasionally post) and what do I hear? You weren't allowed to go to Dairy Queen!

if his church become apostate,could same thing happened to jws?

The page with the pictures of the 7 messengers (one of whom was Luther, with Russell the 7th) was in Randy Watters' document pack. We have 4 nephews and my sister-in-law all bunking down with us at the moment (the 19 yo and 21 yo are moving with us) so I'm not sure where my cartons of JW material are just now.
If no one else has the information handy you could ask Randy or I'll try to look it up next week.

Best wishes with the chemo! Annie's thoughts parallel mine --- now that you've revved your immune system up as much as you can with the alternative remedies, hopefully the chemo will be even *more effective.
Two of my nephews (ages 19 and 21) are moving in with us tomorrow, so I've been busy trying to clear away enough room for them. I'm so glad I caught up tonight with what's been going on. You're in my thoughts and prayers every day!

I remember seeing a page with pictures of the "seven messengers". Luther was one of the seven messengers --- Russell was the seventh.
