The Toxic Danger of Fabric Softener and Dryer Sheets...Who Knew???
by SWALKER inread why now!
(prweb) february 21, 2005 -- many people will remember a famous tv ad where a woman races to her washing machine, fabric softener in hand, only to arrive just as the wash ends.
this woman who "forgot to ad the fabric softener" was actually doing herself and her family a favor.. .

Thanks to Lady Lee for changing message #1 in this thread. (Ian was moved from room 3 to room 16 yesterday --- but if you've already sent a card to room 3, don't worry, I am sure the hospital will sort it out.)
I heard from Claire this morning and she was going to be heading to the hospital a little later. It's a long drive across the city to the hospital --- she said it would only be 30-40 minutes if there were no traffic, but since there IS traffic, it takes anywhere from 1 to 2 hours! She was very cheerful about it, though. If she emails an update tonight I will be sure to post it.
I wish we could get the cards there quicker ... I am figuring the U. S. cards will start to arrive towards the end of next week. I'm hoping some of Ian's British friends will have mailed cards by now so he'll have something arriving at the beginning of the week as well.

Hi Marjorie A quick update after coming away this evening. Ian has a blood clot in the vein so has had his line removed (the line has 2 lumens through which chemo and antibiotics are given and blood samples are taken). So they have to insert another one, either through the neck or the groin. (I'm not sure which makes me cringe the most!!!) Anyway they're sorting him out. Also just to say that they had to move him from room 3 to room 16 today. Many many thanks to you and everybody on the board for all your good wishes. I pass them on and they mean so much to Ian. I'll keep you posted Clairexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Here's the latest from Claire. (I told her that a bunch of cards addressed to room 3 will be arriving next week!) Marjorie

if I mail a card tomorrow from the US will it get forwarded to Ian's house if he's not in the hospital by the time it gets there?
Freedomlover ---I imagine the hospital would forward it, but remember, Ian was anticipating a 3-week stay for this intense chemo and the stem cell treatment.
So let's get the cards going, everyone!

Hi Marjorie Claire here. Have taken Ian in to hospital today, not feeling too good, spiking a temperature. So they are attacking him with needles to find the root of the infection before any sort of chemo can go ahead. Could you please do me a big favour???? Announce on the board that he has gone in, some people wanted the address of the hospital to send cards. It is - Ian Hinze, Room 16, Adult Leukaemia Ward The Christie Hospital, Wilmslow Road,
Manchester M20 4 BX
England.Aw, many many thanks Marjorie, for your continued support. Lots of love to you both Clairexxxxxxxx Ok, folks, let's send Ian lots of cards while he's in the hospital! I know he really likes to get them. Marjorie

Neil ---
I am curious about a quote from an unidentified scholar in an article in the 2/1/06 WT. I wondered if by any chance you can identify the source?
Here is the quote:
17 After commenting about the prophets of old, the disciple James wrote: "You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome Jehovah gave, that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful." (James 5:11) The Greek word here translated "endurance" has a meaning similar to that of the word James used in the preceding verse for "patience." Pointing out the difference between the two words, one scholar wrote: "The former is patience when persons abuse us, the latter is brave perseverance under things that distress us."
WT February 1, 2006 pp. 17-21 Patience
Thanks for your time,

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 3-5-06 WT Study (Patience)
by blondie inhis faithful servants--only jws, not "so-called" christians.
7 a second point that we can draw from peter's words is that jehovah is patient because he desires all to attain to repentance.
"consider the patience of our lord as salvation," wrote peter to fellow christians.

Thanks for the review, Blondie.
I'm really curious about that quote from the unidentified scholar. What possible reason could there be for not identifying the scholar? The quote from Barclay which you gave in your comments shows up on the internet, but this one doesn't. Curious.
