how sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.
the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!
they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

It was two years ago today that Grace started this thread,
announcing that Dansk (Ian) has lymphoma.
Ian and Claire ---We love you! What a long ordeal this has been for you, especially this past year and these past months as you had the chemo and then the stem cell transplant.
Praying that are growing stronger each day and that the therapy has been successful.
You have been a blessing to us. Your courage has been an inspiration.
Blessings and love always,
Marjorie and Jim xo xo xo

He's been in the hospital since March 16th. Claire says he's still very weak but is starting to regain some strength and has started taking very short walks down the hallway.
See the vigil thread for a few more details.
Once again, here is the link for sending an e-greeting to Ian in the hospital:

hi, friends ---.
just a note to let you know ian has had a setback.
there is a problem with his kidneys and he had to have a catheter inserted.
Anxiously awaiting better news.
Me, too. No word from Claire today. I'm going to PM LittleToe and see if he has heard anything.
Edited to add the following:
I just received some encouraging news from Claire. Ian is ... errr ... "tinkling" well so they're not thinking of dialysis right now!
(But he's still catheterized.) He looks better and is going back to ALU tomorrow. So send tomorrow's e-greetings to ALU again! (The hospital must LOVE all of us! ) Claire said he actually ate something ... a small chocolate bar.
