End of Year 2001 - Conclusions Drawn
by Celtic inif there is one thing that i think that i have learn't this year, it is that people really do not give a shit about you, unless there is something in it for them to gain.
family?
they don't give a shit, they say they do, but when it comes to any real communication about feelings, you just get told to shut up, go away, not needed, useless, liar, your just making it up etc etc.. my old faith, jehovahs witnesses, do they care?

i feel a bit 'dirty' having just read this post - i think it's inappropriate to make cheap sensationalist reading out of such a tragic situation - the people that gave their lives for these policies are not worthy of the implied scorn:
10% of the Jehovah's Witnesses in the concentration camps and up to 50% in prisons signed the declaration. Remember those numbers the next time Jehovah's Witnesses brag they were "the most courageous".
really - could you say that you would have been in the faithful 90% ? which - lets face it - is one hell of a high percentage ?
the disgust should be aimed at the political regime that committed these atrocities - but also for the religious organisation that totally betrayed their followers and sent them to their deaths

Depression is a way of life for JW's

i don't want to do anything anymore, i mean what is the sense: the end of days is upon us!
the more i became involved with witnesses, the more i felt that i was loosing a part of myself.

i totally echo namewithelds post - and it's not until you are standing in the full sunshine that you realise how dark it was back there
leave butal - if you haven't already - get out of there and move on to a 'normal' life - everything you believe - ask yourself why you believe it ? cos you were told to ?
mindchild posted a fantastic few thoughts on mental viruses - reading posts like that can help you to sort out what you really want as opposed to what others have decided you will have - welcome to here - your 'post-mind control' life ...

listen you fat little trolls, i've been helping you out every year, by helping to clean up the messes you have been making in peoples lives, to encourage people to get over the great pain they have when they realized how badly you screwed them over and now i have to put up with lots of angry ex-dubs at my favorite online watering hole who havent learned to release their pain yet, and they are just making for one too many unhappy flame wars...i hate to break it to you gb boys, but it's definitely payback time!

yoyo - the one home working project that's likely to be available is telesales - usually stuff like double glazing and home improvements
it's thankless work which requires high levels of self-motivation - experience as an active JW would no doubt convince an employer to give you a try - being used to rejection but still carrying on that is ...
i understand that they pay your telephone bill and pay you for each lead that results in a sale - but like i said - thankless work - try ringing local companies from the yellow pages to see if they would consider a homeworker

Business Territory
by Amazing inbusiness territory in the 1960s and 1970s: when i was first associated in the late 1960s, it was common to see jws roaming the streets of downtown districts, offering the magazines.
sometime in the early 1970s, after i had been a jw for a few years, we worked businesses directly.
this was especially true when certain events were newsworthy - such as the persecution of jehovah's witnesses in malawi.

never done business territory work but often did street work here in the uk and enjoyed it more than any other type of 'service' - was great to get to actually speak to people and the real beauty was you could work alone - without having to listen to the pathetic attempts of others in trying to 'sell' magazines ...
